Display is 300 nits 72% NTSC or 99% sGB panel which is very difficult to find at this price range. Also, both the memory slots are user upgradable and you can go up to 64GB, max supported by the Processor.

Go to Page 17 and you will the that it has two display options, 220 nits with 45% NTSC whereas 300 nits with 72% NTSC.

Nice screen, keyboard is somewhat annoying since it's gray and back lit. You would have to turn of the keyboard lights during daytime to see the letters properly.
Over all it is thin and light but the exterior shell is plastic not aluminum, which fooled me into thinking it was aluminum but I was surprised when I received it.
RAM is upgradable, I added another 8gb stick.
Here is a link to the RAM stick sold by Dell. It was on sale when I purchased it for $52 now its $77. You can find similar RAM for cheaper on Amazon. https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...023/memory
all in all good purchase for the price but make sure you test it well during the 30 return period because Dells customer service is terrible.
Edit: even though you get a free 1 year of McAfee included in the price, Dell for some reason bill it on a separate line in the invoice. my invoice showed $37 line for McAfee. I called and requested for a refund, and after some haggling the rep refunded the McAfee charge. so I ended up paying less than $500 for the laptop. make sure you give this a try if you decide to go for it.
And as someone else said, the amount of users that would actually use an ethernet port on a laptop 14" or under is probably under 5%. It's not a desktop replacement, and is designed for portability. I personally don't know what situation I'd ever plug in an ethernet to my laptop instead of using wifi. I could see doing that if you are buying a desktop replacement laptop, but not an ultra portable 14".

Anyone know how to get that $35.96 refunded from the purchase price? I probably need to wait until I have received it but wonder if anyone has ever tried it?
My 17" EVOO does, and the only reason I use it is because I thought the WIFI was having issues. Now that I have that cord there, I just plug it back in whenever I put the laptop on the desk. But I don't need it.
Now what I want to gripe about is the RAM. Still 8Gb? That would be my first upgrade, and the only thing my wife's laptop (almost 4 years old now) needs to make it keep up with these new ones for her use. It's a 7000 series 2-in-one with pen support, and it was $615 at Best Buy on sale. This computer should be cheaper in my opinion (since it is on sale), but I know prices are high overall right now. Every once in a while I think about buying her a new PC and she says it works great other than having to have it plugged in most of the time. So I put in a new battery for $20 or so and she has no complaints.
Edit: I just looked at the pictures of the side of the laptop posted, and I do think they could have included an ethernet port. But, it's really a rare-use scenario where a cheap laptop like this really needs ethernet. There are plenty of business or gaming laptops that will have ethernet.

It's nice to know that you can upgrade ssd, and ram. It also looks like it has a spot for another ssd/nvme which is a killer feature if you're planning on storing tons of data. Not bad for only weighing 3.09 lbs.

After the computer bricked, I had to call Dell approximately 20-25 times over two weeks, spending probably 15-20 hours, before giving up and disputing with my credit card. I was promised all sorts of things during that period, ranging from same-week replacement overnighted to me (after numerous demands, because I couldn't have a defective computer keep me out of work) to a refund. A month later, shortly before I expect the credit card dispute would be resolved, Dell finally refunded my money.
Due to work interruptions, buying a Dell cost a few thousand dollars, accounting for work interruptions, time invest in the resolution, etc. Never again. Went out and got an E14 Thinkpad. Very happy so far. $9XX.
This was the worst consumer experience of my life. Never again.

I think there are also two types of sticks on the 8GB, i.e. 1x16 and 1x8 chips per module.
