Yes, its slick. Yes, its high end tool line. No, this is not new and has been off and on for >1 year thus flooding the aftermarket. Saw is solid and very heavy when equipment with the 2 x 5ah 18v batteries. Recommend putting in your hands before pulling the trigger and deciding to make your daily driver. If too heavy/bulky, sell off the saw, keep the dual charger and batteries and pair with the impact which was on here recently as a hackable deal. Very quality tool line.

Think 2x if you plan to use daily. These cordless framing saws are heavy. I went back to my trusty Skilsaw 77 after a couple weeks. I keep the cordless for the odd occasions where no outlet is available. But I'll probably be buried with my Skilsaw.

You'd have to have the mag 77 to save yourself 1lb. Listed weight with batteries of the makita is 12.4lbs vs the 11.5 of the mag 77. Original skilsaw would weight 3lbs more.
