I had to add the two items separately to my cart to get it to work. It was showing sold out on the original link, but if I looked up the batteries, my store had 5 in stock. Great deal, thanks op!

That is how you do it! Never pay full price for great tools.

Yes, its slick. Yes, its high end tool line. No, this is not new and has been off and on for >1 year thus flooding the aftermarket. Saw is solid and very heavy when equipment with the 2 x 5ah 18v batteries. Recommend putting in your hands before pulling the trigger and deciding to make your daily driver. If too heavy/bulky, sell off the saw, keep the dual charger and batteries and pair with the impact which was on here recently as a hackable deal. Very quality tool line.
Was thinking same thing, would love it if the sub-xompact saw went on sale. Makita tools are legit

In the Cart on your app or desktop. Select Store pickup xx (amount in store) in stock at City (the one you selected), zip code (5 digit zip code). Too easy!

Makita is moving to 40V battery based lineup, thus 18Vstuff will be on sale as they introduce more products in the series.
I agree. Eventually, all 18V LXT tools will be obsoleted, just as all 12V CXT tools are now useless. Can't find any CXT batteries, unless one is willing to pay ridiculous premium for obsoleted system, although Makita persist their 12V CXT tools are current.
However, if you're contactor using many batteries, I think this is a good deal. You pay for 4 batteries, and get the tool for free. I saw one rear handled saw at Home Depot not too long ago, and it appears to be a real nice tool, reminds me of Makita Worm drive saw I no longer have.
