Good price for now. But If you don't need it now, I'd wait a bit. With gyms opening up, prices are coming down. Pre-covid you could get this for half the price.

Picked up this exact set about 2 months ago.

Weights are pretty good, smooth finish, and holding up well.

The bar is absolute junk - sold it locally within the 1st 2 days and picked up a real bar for a good deal at my local Play it Again.

Bar is rated for 300 pounds, cannot be dropped (warning label on the bar), and will most likely sag in short order.

I was buying these(I bought like 100 sets)for 190-230ish after taxes and that coupon they always have on their site last year to resell. I haven't looked since maybe December but I've never seen it above 250.

The Costco version of this was 250 a few weeks ago. (minus 150 gift card and 100 off 500 coupon)
It had rubber coated weights and a 700 lb capacity bar it came with. I would wait for that to come back IMO.

$300 is not a deal. I've bought this set twice, one for $160 and again for $180. Bar is cheap, but plates are fine.

I bought this in February or March of last year, just before weights became unobtanium. It's been perfectly adequate for my middle-aged lifting needs. You'll probably want a few more plates, but I've been completely satisfied.

Gyms are already open, are people going back yet or being cautious? I'm already fully vaccinated but since I already have some exercise options at home at least for treadmill and stationary bike I get my cardio in. Although for lifting and weight machines I'd need to go to gym

I disagree, with Peloton and other interactive exercise equipment I'm hearing in the financial world the gym memberships will decrease and that many have already established or began to create their own home gym for convenience. I personally I'm buying without thought and preventing the influx in cost in the future to take advantage of this deal
