Why did they need to change their naming conventions? So now the U8G would be this year's H9G? Am I getting that right? Any reason to wait for the U8G to go on sale over this?

Edit: while trying to answer my own question, I realized that even though the U6G hasn't been reviewed yet, the pricier U8G has: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u8g

I have a Hisense tv. They sent an update wirelessly. It bricked the tv. Yes, you read that correctly, the manufacturer of the product sent an update and the tv went black. Fuzzed on and off repeatedly. I called customer service and they claimed they needed a receipt in order to process a technician visit. I told the carnival catapulter moonlighting as customer service that I did not have a receipt because the tv was a gift. The previous two statements were recycled about 5 times until I said, "when you receive Christmas presents, does the person who gave you the presents also hand you any receipts?". They finally sent a tech out who could not repair the tv. Two days later, Hisense sent an update that corrected the faulty one. This was a 10 day jaunt in an alternate universe. After that, no apology, no acknowledgement, nothing. This will be the only Hisense tv I will ever own. If Hisense is the last brand to make televisions, I will stop watching tv. You've been warned.

The H9F, H9G, and U9G series are reserved for Hisense's flagship TVs. Their new flagship for 2021 will be their Dual Cell TV with 2 million local dimming zones and not the U8G

Waiting for U8G to go on sale. The dual cell is brand new technology and no way I'm spending OLED money to try it out.
