I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I lost track on when I received the sign up bonus last time. If I don't meet the 48-month and not eligible for the bonus, will Chase just deny my application out right? I hate to be approved of the card now and not getting the bonus after meeting the spend.
They will approve you so they can make money off of you when you start using the card. But you wont get the 100k reward points. Dont do it if you will not get the reward points.

anyway to tell how long you have had your card? I can't remember when I opened my Sapphire preferred. Also, Can I close it and reapply for it the same day? My wife has a Sapphire reserve. I can probably transfer all my existing points to her.

Does anyone know how long it takes for a Sapphire card to be removed from an account after product switching? I swapped my Sapphire to an ultimate flex yesterday. The CSR said I would have to wait 31 days to be able to re-apply for the Sapphire preferred, but I have read other people say 3-4 days.

I do qualify for the 48 month bonus rule, and am fine on 5/24. It's just the time until it shows I'm not a sapphire card holder that I want to be safe on so I don't get instantly declined.
If the CSR said 31 days I would go with that. To confirm, I suggest that you call 12 hours later and get another CSR. A better offer with waived annual fee plus $50 for groceries will anyway be available on June 17 at Chase branches. So waiting 31 days might not be a bad idea assuming this promo is still on.

Provided you pay with the credit card:
Ask your agent if you can pay your car and home insurance ahead of time.
House heated with oil? Ask the supplier if you could do an advance payment of $500. When I did that there was no problem at all.
When paying your health or medication insurance premium pay it for 3 months ahead. Ditto for phone, TV, internet, electric, etc. bills.

I got their Chase Freedom last September with $12K CL. What's the chance to be approved again for their Sapphire with FICO 732?

Various factors are taken into consideration. How many credit cards do you have? How long have you had credit?

Oh I forgot about the $50 groceries instant refund from the 80k offer. Plus I got the first annual fee waived because I applied at the bank. So this 100k deal is technically only $50 dollars better unless the branches will switch to 100k plus first annual fee waived.

Unless you can prepay $4K on known expenses that you are going to incur anyway, AVOID THIS CARD. Otherwise, you will end up spending money just to get the bonus defeating the purpose of trying to get something for nothing (i.e., getting in on a deal)

Does it hurt to apply and check if you can get approved even if you already know you exceed 5/24 or if you got this bonus like 3 years back? Will it affect credit score, or does Chase deny it before performing a credit check? ... Especially for the 48 month rule, they shouldn't have to do a credit check.

This question was asked several times, didn't see an answer here or on Google..

Anyway to see the dates of the bonus or even opened date on a closed account? I know I got both the Preferred and Reserve cards in late 2016, and would've gotten bonuses sometime shortly after. But would be good to know for sure.

Both accounts are long closed after year 1, and don't appear anywhere in the Chase accounts online as far as I can tell. Even UR account is not accessible. I have Chase Checking account and a couple Chase cards which show in the dashboard.

Are you nuts? They set the parameter in their system and the computer automatically checks. You are not eligible for the bonus. Period. Face it.

Does the COSTCO cash/gift card count towards the $4K or will it be considered a "gift card" not eligible for meeting the $4K threshold?
if you buy something from costco or any store for the giftcard it will just show as a costco/store transaction, its eligible

Call the customer service rep. There has to be a gap of 48 months since you last got a Sapphire bonus
