I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I have a few personal cards and business cards from Chase. Chase Freedom Unlimited with $16K CL, Freedom with $5.5K, Flex with $500, Amazon with $5K, and 2 other business INK cards with $50K and $10K.

Last year I applied for their Chase Freedom Flex for the $200 sign up bonus. Although they approved my application, they only gave me $500 CL. I was like that's fine since all I wanted is the signup bonus, but that made me strongly believe Chase had granted me the maximum credit allowed and will not offer me any more new credit.

Should I still apply for the CSP, risk a hard pull, and then expect to negotiate with Chase Reconsideration? Does Chase allow to allocate credit line from business card to personal? Or should I call Chase in advance to find out why they offered me such a low CL for the Freedom Flex? But I think it is probably too late since the Flex was opened last September.

100K points for signup bonus is very tempting. I've been thinking of a way to increase the chance of getting approved.
Back in the day, B2C transfers were both easy & common. But now they're much harder to do. That said, apply anyway. if you don't get instant approval, ask recon to reallocate from the $50k Biz. Or just move $8k from CFU to CSP.

I've had the CSP for over 48 months, what would be my first step in getting this bonus again? Don't want to lose the points i have on the current card. thanks
You will need to be 48 months out from the time you received the bonus. Downgrade your CSP to a freedom card and you will keep the points. Then you can apply for a new CSP after waiting at least 4 days after downgrade, assuming it's been 48 months from the time you received the bonus.

I don't know what the fuss is about credit hits unless you're in the gray zone needed for a house purchase, etc.

Take my wife, for example. She generally has 840+ FICO. When she opens a card (of many) the FICO goes down to 815-820. After several months it claws its way back.

Same with me. I ride a 820 FICO but then goes down to ~790 after a card app, but then things return back to normal.
Interesting, my FICOs are the same, the wife has higher scores.

To answer my own question, Chase does pull a hard inquiry on pre-approval. I pulled the trigger for my wife, instantly got approved for $12.8K CL. Minutes later we got an alert from Chase Credit Journey operated by Transunion notifying me of a hard pull, and the new CSP account is now showing up online. We'll receive the new card in 5 days. Now thinking of a way to get myself approved.
odd I had the same scenario for myself and appears to be no hard pull. showed preapproval online, I entered income and hit submit. I have credit apps triggered whenever my credit is pulled and neither of them brought an alert. chase gave me a nice healthy credit line as well!

Anyone knows which credit bureau(s) Chase pull from? I remember from the past they only pulled from one of them.
I talked to service rep from number on Reserve card and he advised to wait 5 business days after downgraded/cancelled to apply for this one.

We need data of people that cancelled a Sapphire card then successfully applied for this. How many business days in between.

Any idea how to check when was the last time I had this card? I had it in the past but don't recall if it was over 4 years ago or not.

I had to log into my chase account, go to top left with the 3 lines, then profile and settings. Then account settings/customized settings/show and hide accounts. Unhide the old sapphire account and go through your statements to see when you got the points

I think it takes about 2 weeks for the updated referral to show up.
Does that mean i can apply now using the referral and in two weeks it will know to make it a 100k bonus; or to wait two weeks to apply using the referral till their system recognizes that it should be 100k bonus?

They pulled from Experian. Got a notice from Discover's credit alert that an inquiry was opened under Experian 1 day after I applied for the CSP on behalf of my wife.

Tried to apply and got rejected but the letter basically said I had a card from the previous 48 months. So doing some math, I had a previous card that was from May 2017 but didn't get the bonus until August 2017.

So the 48-month rule is from when you get the bonus so it's more like 51 months. If this deal is still good until the end of August, I'll try to apply again and hopefully the bonus is still active.

I previously had the Reserve and downgraded to the Freedom. Do I have to close my current Freedom for this deal? Or is it not an issue? Thanks.

The credit is up to $50 for grocery purchases. It will appear in your transaction history when you make a purchase at a grocery store/supermarket.
Thanks.
