I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Is there a way to check the promo 100k, no annual fee for first year and $50 grocery credit on your account online?

Does anyone know how long it takes for a Sapphire card to be removed from an account after product switching? I swapped my Sapphire to an ultimate flex yesterday. The CSR said I would have to wait 31 days to be able to re-apply for the Sapphire preferred, but I have read other people say 3-4 days.

I do qualify for the 48 month bonus rule, and am fine on 5/24. It's just the time until it shows I'm not a sapphire card holder that I want to be safe on so I don't get instantly declined.
I called CSR reps 3 times. 2 of them said you can't downgrade to another card. You'll have to cancel the card completely in order to qualify for this promo. 1 of the 2 said wait 3-5 business days before apply, while the other one said you can basically apply instantly once you see your account is cancelled when you logged in. The 3rd one said you can downgrade, then wait 3-5 days.

So take it with a grain of salt.

Yes as long as you are under 5/24. AU cards count towards 5/24.

Ahh, that is the reason my banker did not see it on his screen where he got my info. I applied anyway hoping to upgrade it at the bank. But if I am approved, I will cancel it and reapply on June 17th at the branch again. Thanks

5/24 stands for 5 new credit card accounts within 24 months. It's a Chase exclusive rule that prevents you from being approved for any Chase card if you have opened 5 or more new cards in 24 months.

I'm dumping Chase after many years. Logging into online banking has been a cluster F with text code and no code sent by email. This has been going on for a few weeks. Then I discover that I'm being dinged $25. checking account fee since my threshold fell below $75,000 for free checking. Then I go to pay off a credit card tonight of $3,000 only to find a late charge since Chase is on Eastern time and I'm on Pacific time here in CA. for a 3 hour difference due today. I deal with a brand new branch and two teller windows, long lines, empty offices, and regular people gone. My fault for not paying better attention, but off tomorrow to another institution. Since Schwab has my investment, maybe they offer checking and c cards. Rant over and hope everyone gets their points.

This may be a dumb question, but I have to ask: can you redeem all the points for only cash?
Don't. Your future self will thank you when it come time to redeem the points for travel.

Either transfer the points to your no-fee Freedom card or downgrade to Freedom. It's worth the $95 annual fee for first year.

If you are gonna tell a lie, at least make it more convincing. There is no such thing as $75000 requirement balance for a "free checking".

How do I know? Because I have a free checking with Chase and my balance in the account is nowhere near $75000 and I have never been charged any fee.

Besides, who would put $75000 in a checking account anyway ? That's the dumbest financial decision one person could have made. Even if the checking earn a small interest which is like 0.1% which is basically nothing, you would make a lot more $ putting that in an electric saving for a much higher interest or better yet, put it in a brokage investment account generating 7-15% income per year.

Chase no longer let you get both Reserve and Prefered card. If you already got a Chase reserve, even as an authorized user, chance are pretty slim they will approve this Prefered card.

Edit: Nvm what I wrote above, I missed the authorized user part.

Being AU on CSR doesn't disqualify you from applying to this one, just FYI.
