I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I am in the same boat as you, applied last week and no card yet. Online account gives a card number. Waiting to pull a larger costco purchase before they are out of stock on the item.

If your current card is more than 4 years old and you earned a bonus more than 4 years ago, you can look into downgrading, waiting 4 business days and applying again in-branch.
I got my reserve back in Dec 16, almost 4 years...

Walked in branch and signed up. The banker knew about the online 100k offer. But for in branch it was 80k welcome bonus with first year waived and $50 grocery fee. Showed him the Doctor of Credit page and had him read the photo with info.

He went and looked on the Chase intranet and found the exact same page with the 100k in branch with the extra perks. Double confirmation was nice.

Instant approved for the card.

1-800-436-7970 is the number for Chase Sapphire Customer Service. Sapphire representative should be able to assist you with the issue.

Since it's not the Reserve, it's probably stuck on the slow train in the mail on the way to you. You can always ask them to expedite it. This usually works better right after approval though.

Dec 16 means you are 4.5 years in. When did you actually get the then bonus points? It can't be later than March '17. So, since March 2021 went by you just need to downgrade to a non-Sapphire and you should be able to apply after 4 business days. So I gather from reading this thread. I am no expert though. This is my first foray in this.

Is there a rule that you have to wait 4 business days? I just canceled my no annual fee sapphire card Friday.

Congrats! 2 weeks generally means you are approved. If it is 7~10 days then you are denied.
Do you know what "30 days decision" usually means? Is it a good sign or bad?

I couldn't figure out where to find the card number in online account... Where did you see it? I was only able to add the card to digital wallet under saved account manager.

Did anyone was able to get Chase to upgrade from 80k to 100k bonus over the phone? I applied at the branch at the end of May when the offer was 80k with annual fee waived and $50 gc. I called and spoke to a manager but she won't add another 20k. Advice? Thanks!

If I'm understanding this correctly, chase sent out a memo to its branches that they will automatically add 20k points on top of the 80k once $4k spend is reached. So nothing in the paperwork will show 100k points or 80k points + 20k points. So do I just go into a branch and apply for the preferred with 80k sign up bonus, waived annual fee, and $50 grocery credit regardless if the banker knows about the memo or not?

Same here. Does anyone know if I can apply for this deal also for a 2nd sapphire card? I also have freedom..

It needs to be 48 months since you last got a sapphire bonus and you need to downgrade your current card to a non-sapphire product or cancel it. I believe you should also wait 72 hours after cancel/downgrade before applying.

I just called the also and my delay from getting approved was that I unfroze Experian and it should have been Equifax that was unfroze.

Not sure what is going on here....but in my case its definitely Equifax
