I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Maybe this was asked earlier, does paying apartment rent on a rental company portal count as an eligible purchase towards $4000?
Yes it does count towards spend, however most apt complexes have an extra fee for using a credit card. This fee may definitely be worth it as it gives you peace of mind from spending the $4k.
Also, referrals from other Chase cardholders are also up to 100k, same as the public offer! Use your friends' referral to help them out!

Called branch and customer representative both of them advised no to use it for rent payment. Saying it may not qualify and I may also get charged Cash advance fees.
Just for information for similar queries.
I tried reading through but there's too many posts now. I have never had a non big bank type of credit card meaning, I've never had these type of bonuses. I'm trying to understand how the points work here.
I will be spending more than $4k on a card in the near future. Do these 100,000 points count towards a "pool" that I can redeem to reduce my bill? I do not care about getting a check and have no desire for various gift cards or to continuously check offers, only looking at cash back.
Are these 100,000 points on top of the spend to get there? 100,000 + whatever I spend x the multiplier?
For those who got the expedited/rush shipping, did you get any kind of confirmation or notification before receiving the cards? The banker called in and requested rush shipping, I got an email saying "We're processing your replacement card request". But I have not received any UPS notification from UPS My Choice about a new inbound shipment.
Applied at the branch on Wed 12pm and requested the card to be expedited.
Also only got the email about processing the replacement card request. No other email.
Got UPS notification today (Thurs) that it will be delivered tomorrow (Friday).

Rent is iffy. Chase will code a lot of things as "cash advance" instead of purchase including "making a payment using a third party service including bill payment transactions not made directly with the merchant or their service provider." So it depends on how your landlord has set up their payment system. However, things like Plastiq still seem to code as purchase.
The easiest way to test things out to see if it would work is to secure message Chase and ask them to lower your cash advance limit on your card to something very low like 0 or 20 (default is 5% of credit limit). Then, if your rent codes as cash advance, the transaction will be declined instead of unknowingly incurring cash advance fees.

For the absolute least hassle, yes, you can just use the 100k points as statement credit or have them direct deposit the money into the checking account that you used to pay your bill. It has the lowest redemption value at 1 cent but it's still not too bad.
Yes, the 100k is in addition to your spend. So if you hit the bonus with 4k spend at 1x mult, you would end up with 104k points at the end.

That's something I was expecting. I also applied on Wed but still haven't had any UPS information yet.
Never mind, I just checked my ups choice and saw the card shipment. Thank you for the confirmation!
Just got the card today! Was able to change payment method for a rental car and hotel room we booked for an upcoming trip. Did that and some other bills, and we're over $1,100 today
