I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

If am a Sapphire cardholder and someone adds me as an authorized user to their application will that affect their eligibility for this offer?
No. The eligibility review is for the applicant, not for any listed authorized users. The bonus is for the applicant, not for the authorized user. Besides, all charges are paid by the account owner, not by any of the authorized users - and that's all the bank cares about, getting paid.
The reverse is true as well. If that someone else is an authorized user of your Sapphire account, that does not preclude him from applying for his own Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Does that mean I can refer them as well? Also, would the referral work if we did it in a Chase branch?
You should be able to. My wife was able to refer someone through the Chase app before receiving her card. If you refer her you can't also get the in branch bonuses for her as well. So its either referral bonus(20k points) or branch bonus($95 AF, $50 Grocery credit). In your case the referral is better I'm sure your aware but you would each have to spend 4k in 3 months.
Just so we are clear . Are you saying that one can get the either referral bonus(20k points) for a friend/spouse or branch bonus($95 AF, $50 Grocery credit) for the person applying BUT not both. Is this a correct interpretation?

got charged annual fee first statement, is it normal?
If you applied online, then yes I would say that's normal. If you applied in branch and were expecting the first year's annual fee to be waived, then no that's not normal.
For those that did not expedite the card, how long did it take for yours to come in? Got approved Monday 6/21 and called back and they said it got mailed 6/23. Which is a total of 7 business days ago.

What city is this in? I went to a branch in Houston, TX they had an 80k offer and was told I'm better off applying using the email (100k) offer I have. Can you check with her if this varies by state/city or branch? Thank you!!
Applied in the branch earlier today and got the 100k points+AFW+50$ grocery credit promotion
May I ask if the additional 20k points to complete the 100k bonus is printed in your credit card disclosure paper? I only see the 80k and &50 grocery credit on mine.

Same issue with mine. But you get $50 grocery credit and waived annual fee of $95 by applying at your local branch. In the end, a difference or loss of $55 compared to applying online (if the additional 20k bonus is really not granted)

I added an authorized user around 7pm last Friday the 25th and her card just arrived today exactly 1 week later.
