I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I'm on SS which is less than $20K a year, me and my wife applied at Chase Bank at the same time. We were both approved for separate CSP accounts, yes they go by combined income. Our credit score's are 800+ and combined income is about $100k.
Thank you.
But I think you lost out on $50. If one of you applied first at the branch, waited to get the card and then referred the other, you would lose the $95 fee and also the $50 in grocery credit but would get 20,000 referral points worth $200 so a net profit of $55.
That what I just did. Wife was instantly approved.
You can also request expedited shipping when you call the Chase Reconsideration line: (888) 270-2127ā.
Personally, I find the Reconsideration agents to be more proficient than the regular Customer Service agents when with dealing with newly issued cards.
Also, whenever I have not been approved within 2 days of application, I always call the Reconsideration Line for a status update. Seems like the smallest details sometimes hang up the approval, a simple phone call cuts through the process.
P.S. I only request expedited shipping when I absolutely need it. Hopefully, if people use their good judgment when requesting same, Chase will continue extending the free courtesy.
Thank you.
Right after the application and she getting the immediate approval, the application process proceeded to tell her to optionally set up her Chase online account. We did that and were able to get her id created. The credit card last 4 immediately showed up.
We yet again called in to expedite the card. I agree that the option must be using sparingly but I did it twice. When I got it, I had 5 days to pay our $2300 worth of insurance which was the reason for the expedited request which I did in-brach itself.
The reason I applied today and requested expedited card for the wife is we have $750 worth of payment to pay by this Saturday so I will cancel those from the bank and wait for the card to arrive and pay them on the card to quickly get to the $4K spend.
If one is a referrer, is there a way to see the status of your referral? I did use my referral link to apply for the wife but we have no idea if it all went through from the phone or not. Only curious as to if I got the eligibility for the referral or not.
Better to have her refer me for the 100k (without the other perks) or is it possible to be referred and complete it in a branch or phone to get the referral bonus and the $95+$50?

No way to check the referral status based on my past experience. If anyone knows a way, kindly share here.

Can anyone confirm that if we apply in branch, the 95$ annual fees will be waived off for the first year?
Also what all benefits/downside will be there if we apply in branch rather than applying it online.

Well. Then we will just pray and wait for the first statement. I heard the referral credit is applied after the first statement. Chase so far has come through even on the 80K counter fiasco so I did take a leap of faith. I just hope that leap just didn't cost us $145.
Is 50$ grocery credit automatic? I went in to the branch today but forgot to ask for this one, I got the 100K and first year waived but no mention of grocery credit.
thank you! Seems like card needs to be received and activated first for the bonus spend tracker to show up? I am not seeing anything yet on the app or online account yet except the new card account.

On 7/13 evening I had lifted the freeze on all 3 credit bureaus temporarily just for 1 day before applying for the card. I first tried applying from within card offers on my chase account where the 100k points offer was showing up there as well. It went into review stage. I tried calling the reconsideration line but it wouldn't even recognize my SSN. I thought may be it was because I had applied too soon within seconds of lifting the freeze. So I applied again through the link on this thread. This time too, review message. I called the reconsideration line again but this time it recognized my SSN and customer service rep said it was because they couldn't give me anymore additional credit due to my other cards at Chase. They offered to reduce the credit on of one my other cards and approved the new card. I was able to instantly see the card on my app.
Now I think TransUnion and Equifax put the credit freeze back at 11.59pm CT on 7/13 (start of day of 7/14), while I believe Experian expires at 11.59pm CT on 7/14 (end of day 7/14).
At 12.06am CT on 7/14, I got an instant alert notification from TransUnion that there was an attempt to pull my credit report by Chase moments ago (they claim their alerting is instant and within seconds of a credit pull attempt) and it was denied as my credit was frozen. Coincidentally this was seconds after I finished speaking with chase card services as I wanted to verify if my account was all setup correctly with the bonus etc. and the representative asked my full SSN couple of times while trying to pull up my new card account. Wondering if I should be worried about the second attempt to pull my credit report which was denied. I don't see any alerts showing on Experian or Equifax other than the successful hard pulls of 7/13 which I also see on TransUnion as well.
Can someone help me understand how to refer someone? I have the Chase Sapphire Reserve (from years ago when it first came out and had the 100K offer) and would like to refer my wife to get the Preferred given the current deal. I cannot find a way to refer on the Chase website, is it not available to everyone? Thanks!
