I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Boo. Ok. That's what I thought. Thanks. Going to get my husband to get the CSP but I have CSR. Too bad!
If you don't need your CSR for one year, you can downgrade it to CSP. Once downgraded, you can refer your husband to apply CSP. However, you need to wait 12 months before you can upgrade your CSP back to CSR.

Congrats! Glad you had not asked Chase to lower the credit line of the other cards before you went to sign up in branch.

I went to the branch and the process went smoothly. I worried the credit line of my other cards were too high (same as my annual income), but Chase approved my application right away. The banker also knows his stuff, 100K + 50 + first year annual fee waived. Walked out of the bank in 20 minutes.

Sign in your Ultimate Rewards account here [chase.com], click your CSP account, and then click Your Dashboard. There shows the recent purchases including pending transactions that qualify for the reward points. If you do not see the transactions you are questioning, it is not necessary to mean that they do not qualify for points but just need some time to show up there. Check back and see.
thanks, I do not see the costco online transactions here yet

Yes, the activity must be posted for you to get credit. Pending means nothing.

I have a $200 transaction pending from Thrifty Car Rental from 2 weeks ago ... it's just a hold on the key return. It will disappear shortly.

P.S. And congratulations for having met the $4K spending threshold!
Great thanks, will have to wait it out until they ship cash card.
Hopefully transaction will be dated on the time ordered than the time shipped as 7/17 is the deadline for rewards.
I wish I had the new 100k offer than 80k one

I'm at the branch. I had to educate them. They called twice to their CC reps. Only the last one knew about the promo.

PER THE INTERNAL CC REP, DEAL WILL END ON THE 17TH SO APPLY NOW!!

It's alright. Thanks. I already just had him go into the branch to get it. Honestly I should have gotten it myself too. It's already been 48 months.

It is not too late to apply one for yourself.

It is. I can't downgrade my reserve quick enough. And my billing just closed yesterday. There's no way I could apply again in 2 days time.

I applied online and was not instantly approved, was given message that Chase needed to review my app and to call 1-800-527-7419 with any additional questions.

I tried calling that number and have been on hold for over 2 hours. Is there a different number that might get me through quicker? Thanks.
Try calling the Reconsideration Line 888-270-2127. That's the number I've called and haven't had to wait more than 20 minutes. Once I reached an agent, it may have taken the agent another half-hour to investigate/clear up the issue.

On purchase or billing dispute issues, when I've been referred to the Fraud Department, I've sometimes been put on hold for more than 2 hours.

For online applicants, how long did it take for you to get your card?
Approved via phone last Tuesday (July 6th) @ 4:30 pm. Just received it in the mail today (July 14th). Did not expedite delivery.

I think one hour should be sufficient. At least so far I haven't faced a problem even waiting much less than an hour. But doing it immediately after unfreezing sometimes doesn't work.

Thanks.

In-branch (July 17?): https://www.doctorofcredit.com/ch...nnual-fee/

On-line (July 26?): https://slickdeals.net/f/15070267-chase-sapphire-preferred-card-spend-4-000-in-first-3-months-earn-100k-points?p=148426069#post148426069

At this point, there is very little factual information to go on regarding when the promotional deal will end. There are just rumors/inferences.

EDIT: Presumably the on-line 100K offer would also be available for in-branch applications after July 17, but without the $95 annual fee waiver and without the $50 grocery credit.

However, it is also possible that after the 17th, the 100K offer would only apply to targeted customers (as was the case in the second link, above).

There was also a brief talk of an August expiration date that I haven't bothered to mention because it was purely speculative.

We only know what we know and we don't know a whole lot. Cool
Great response clearly outlining the scenarios and pointing out factually, what's speculative. Thanks!

Wow! That's unusual. That's never happened to me, where the Reconsideration Line couldn't find my application after a reasonable time for the application to be logged into the system (a day or two). Suggestions:
  • Try calling the Reconsideration Line 888-270-2127 again tomorrow. Maybe Chase has been overwhelmed with applications. Maybe there was a glitch in their application system.
  • Try going back to your Chase bank and talk to the same agent that did your in-branch enrollment. See whether that agent can verify the status of your application.
Good luck!
Well. He applied today so he says. No wonder the recon line folks can't pull his application up yet. Right?
