7/16 -- got original card by regular mail
They don't give card number -- some people have been able to add the card to mobile wallet (Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) after a few days using the Chase app

I don't even have a checking account at Chase. I already got the 100K from the in-branch application. Got the fee waived, got the $50 and already referred the wife and got her card too.
You should be good to go. Chalk it up to the clueless bankers at the branches.

I wonder if its more pronounced for people with really high scores like over 820. Any mistake and they'll ding you more to knock you down a bit. Maybe if you are below 800 this doesnt affect you as much. I'm guessing if you are below 700 this probably doesnt affect you at all. Hard to tell since the scoring system is proprietary.
At one point before the BOA application, I remember being at 814. I have never seen 820. Not that it may not have been but normally I do not track my credit scores at all.

When you applied, did it say 80k on the branch's computer screen, and did the app say 80k once you were approved? I just applied today in branch and the offer stated 80k + $50 grocery + $95AF waived. Once approved, the new card in my wallet app shows "Spend $4k to earn 80k points"

And that would be 220K points. You forgot to include the referral bonus.
Damn, I was about to contact chase to ask why I got approved two cards. Now you made me think twice. Guess I will wait until I receive both cards and see if I can get 100K bonus terms in printing first.
