I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Make that 2 more months. Currently, the PYB program is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2021. No one knows whether Chase plans on extending it. https://frequentmiler.com/chase-p...self-back/
Sorry. My post wasn't clear enough. I meant I have 11 more months to use up the remaining 85K ish points. Will use PYB as much as I can. My try to use the card(s) on travel to consume more points. Finally, it would be straight cash.
Is this still available in Branch? Apologies, if already answered, but I am now eligible as 48 months have passed. I understand I can apply online, but looking for first year fee waiver and $50 grocery credit.

Your branch is ill-informed. Whether that is a systemic issue (corporate inability to manage information flow), a management issue (lack of supervision), or an employee issue (lack of initiative) is unknown. IMO, it's a combination of all three.
Every SD'er that signed up in branch after the start of this promotion has reported receiving the 100K bonus after reaching the 4K spending threshold, even the ones who thought they were signing up for an 80K bonus and even the ones who were told by their banker that they would only be receiving an 80K bonus. If you don't get the 100K bonus after signing up in-branch, you would be the first.
However, much as there has been significant misinformation about when the program started and its details, there is a similar problem about when it will end. So, it is entirely possible that the 100K bonus program will end without warning.
Doesn't elicit much confidence in Chase's banking operations, does it?

it makes zero sense to get $1000 cash when you can get $1250 credit towards your bill under PYB.
Agree, one hundred percent. But like almost all slickdeals, you can either pay with your money or pay with your time. It takes a little more research, study and finesse (but not a lot) to figure out how PYB works and to manage your purchases so that you maximize usage of those points.
Just went into the branch. The in branch offer is still the same as before: 80k bonus points with annual fee waived for first year. So much better to apply online.
why? you're saying the extra 20k points is worth more than the annual fee?
Who said anything about spendy wives? Our home owner's and auto insurance alone is over 2.5K.
We normally do not have trouble with charges because we rarely use cash and writing checks is almost unheard of. With 2 kids, charges rack up rather quickly and I mean routine necessary charges not the spendy kind.
Why is insurance so expensive? Must have crazy coverage. If you did bare minimum it would be less than half of that.

Can you use pyb on the $50 grocery credit charges? Or is that considered double dipping?

Weren't you the one who said to use the reddit referral program and get part of the referral bonus for yourself? You mentioned it but didnt provide any details or links. Most of us on SD probably didn't follow your suggestion because you didnt spoon feed us. If you want us to do something, you need to provide step by step instructions instead of just saying go research it. 1dash1 and others spoon feed us which is why they are experts.

Speculate and judge much?
Doesn't insurance go by your state? $1K for home owner's and $1500 for 3 cars, 3 drivers with a new 20 year old daughter is actually good pricing.
I also an frugal and hang on here but that does not mean I am cheap. I have to protect my assets and my liability coverage is far, far, far from bare minimum.
How about this? You do you and I do me.
Bottomline is, if you cant swing 4K in credit card charges 90 days, this deal is not for you. Period.

I have to crappy cars and home insurance($1k) and car insurance(1.3k) are almost 2.5k also I was looking at dropping collision on them which would save me $900, but people here in CA don't know how to drive and so many hit an runs.
Just got the card and I'm like 1k away with insurance and a few lil purchases.
