I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Anyone recent downgrade? There's people saying it's 30 days in branch wait time rn for the card to not show in my account. Is it still accurate? My online account has been updated to the freedom already

Ooh I hope that's not the case. I was planning to downgrade this weekend and apply for CSP in branch later this week.
Does anyone want to share what APR they were offered? I was offered 22.9% and I'm a little insulted. I have an 815-824 credit score, a home, and another CC with $10k+ on it. I tried calling up the chain of command and have been given a number for tomorrow, but I'm just curious who exactly has qualified for that 15.9%.
Seems like a bait and switch.
Is this thing worth keeping? I wasn't planning on keeping a balance on there, but I'm still annoyed. I guess if I need to keep a balance on one my other card has a 12% rate, but still.
Just feels insulting to have worked my score up over the last two years to get the worst rate possible.
Yep, 48 months since you received the bonus points.
Damn. I thought Chase was the 5 in 2 restrictions but been a minute. I did get a sapphire over 2 years ago but def not 4. Any suggestions on other good sign up bonus? I can't do Citi either because I just downgraded my Citi premier. Have some expenses planned in the next few months and would like to earn somethinf for if
How long does it take to get the card without expediting it?
Applied 7 business days ago and still waiting...
Automated system says 10 business days.
I got approved on Thursday and called them to do rush shipping and today called again to get the tracking# and see it will be arriving on Monday

My account as been updated as well - CSR to Freedom Flex as of yesterday 8/20
Going to apply online with a referral link - about how long should I wait? Or just apply daily til it's accepted as if it's not accepted that just means the downgrade is still needing to process?

CSP is not a card you should ever be keeping a balance on. It's a rewards card. There's no benifit to cash back if you're going to piss it away on interest

15.99%
I have no plans to keep the card any longer than I have to. Credit score is 825+. I could care less about APR as I pay my credit cards in full at each statement close. For me, credit cards are for making money on rewards (free money!!), not spending money I do not actually have. The only cards I find actually useful are Amex as their extended warranty smokes Visa/Mastercard. Too much of a hassle to get money back from Visa/MC for extended warranty issues. Amex has never given me problems. I buy all my electronics with Amex for that very reason.
This is a classic example that people don't really plan before signing up a credit card. There is no bait and switch here. Chase has never promised you to offer the lowest APR to you. Indeed, you should not sign up a credit card if you have trouble to pay your bills in full each month. Carrying balance on credit cards is not a wise move unless it is from 0% balance transfer or 0% intro APR on purchases. If you intend to carry a balance in the near future, you should really have applied other credit cards which offers you 0% APR for 15 months on new purchases, or 0% balance transfer. Most no-fee cards would have similar offers for new applicants.
Is the CSP worth keeping? It depends. It is one of the best travel cards which offers excellent benefits and reward redemption value. If your spending is just the basic ones or you use your credit cards occasionally, or as aforementioned you intend to carry a balance, the no-fee cards would be better for you.

I waited 8 days and was unable to apply in branch. Ended up applying online and was approved.
Ah bummer. I guess my chances of getting the first year annual fee waived may depend on whether the 100k bonus is extended past the 27th.
Seems like a bait and switch.
