I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Hey does anyone know off hand which credit bureau Chase uses to check for eligibility? Applying in branch today and I need to unfreeze my credit first. Thanks!
It's not the date you redeemed your reward points it counts. It is the date your last Sapphire bonus credited to your account it counts. We are not sure whether Chase marks the exact date or just the month your last Sapphire bonus credited. So the best bet is add 4 months to your account opening date of your last Sapphire. If today's date is 48 months more than that, you are eligible for a new Sapphire bonus.
Today is supposedly the end date of the offer. We don't know whether the offer will be extended after today. It's no rush for you to sign up anyway.
Thank you. This was very helpful. I checked my credit report and unfortunately i opened my Chase Sapphire on June 6th, 2017 which makes me eligible for the new bonus only after October 6th. Damnit. Guess ill just wait then and hope similar offer shows up.
The credit report that Chase is most likely to pull for credit card application is Experian.

Downgraded CSR to CFU on 16th. Went to Chase branch #1 on the 23rd. Banker couldn't get the CSP to show that I was eligible on my account.
I kindly asked to do "Guest Application" She refused and said we need to do on your account as you are already a customer.
Fast forward to today earlier went to a different Chase bank and again tried to apply. This person also couldn't do it on my account.
I again asked to do "Guest" applications. They also refused & stated that it wouldn't make a difference as the system goes by Your SS#.
So I bit the bullet went home hopped on computer did Application online and got INSTANT approval. FYI I DID NOT sign into my Chase account but just filled out application as a "new" individual.
YMMV but this worked for me and got approved before the supposed deadline of 8/27. Stinks I have to eat the $95 fee.
Thanks for the data point. I don't understand why your bankers refused to sign you up as a guest since you can do it yourself at home. Anyway, congrats to your approval.

There is no way to check any referral status for privacy issue. You made the referral. Whether or not the person actually signs up is none of your business. The only way to see whether you will be credited for the referral is to monitor your Ultimate Rewards account.

How to check referral status or when should I get 20K points? Friend got approved and got the card. It has been a week now.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience in branch today. Downgraded on Sunday and tried to apply today. Banker wouldn't let me apply as a guest. He did say he thought the 100,000 bonus point offer would be extended, but I don't think I'm willing to risk it, as he didn't have any specific info. Guess I'll have to eat the annual fee too unfortunately.
I do see the Preferred as an option in the Chase app and in my online account. If the option to apply shows up in my account, does that mean the downgrade has processed in the online system and I'll be approved if I apply online? Or would it be safer to apply as a guest? Thanks again, everyone!

Trying to call chase or get and appointment is ridiculous. No one is ever available to answer the phone or no one is available to take you in unless you make an appointment which is near impossible. Great offer but the banks sucks

That sucks. I guess it depends on your location. There are appointments available using their online system at all my local branches most days.
Hm...not sure if Chase is trying to block the loophole. We'll need more data points to confirm this.
In regards to applying online, I suggest you apply without logging in to your Chase account. You don't earn any additional benefits by doing it but bear a higher risk to get denied. All you need is a successful app submission by the supposed deadline today to secure the offer of the 100K bonus points. Anything else can always be negotiated with Chase Recon later.

I would apply as Guest (like I did) just to play it safe. You should get instant approval.
