I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Lol, went to branch, got the 100k points offer, she waived the $75 for add-on member and first year fee.
The screen said, " application under review", so, called the customer care for card services.
They said, I have three cards, $15k, $8500, $6000. Looks like you have plenty of limit you're not using, do you mind if we move some money from one of your cards to your new card.
Lol, they made a hard inquiry, buy want to use my existing limit. Anyway, I moved $8k from the first card to the new card. That's my story.
You cannot generate an invitation offer to yourself. Only someone who is already a Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholder can send such an invitation.
So the wife has a CSR card with about 6 month left before renewal. She just got her Global Entry paid for again. Considering bumping her down to a freedom unlimited card and generating a referral for her. I know the referrer gets 20K⦠what offer is the referred getting? Better to go into the branch?

Online is only 60k even you referred. 100k if you go to branch.

Like Tiger56 said, it's a 100K sign-up bonus in branch versus 60k online (you can only use the referral online). Also, the $95 annual fee is waived in branch. So, signing up in branch is a much better deal (100k points + $95 fee waiver) than using the referral to sign up online (20k points + 60k points).
So if it's available in branch why can't we call chase customer support and ask for the same deal that is still being offered throughout all chase branch stores?
You can do whatever you like. They won't match the in-branch offer, though.

There is no $75 fee for authorized users. Sounds like one of you were confusing this card with the Reserve?
The 25% bonus for redeeming for travel...anyone ever find it worthwhile and for what category of travel? Hotel prices are high that more than negates the 25% bonus, looks like they use the same backend as Travelocity, orbitz, etc.
Because the 100K deal may end at any moment, you might want to apply in branch immediately to lock in the offer. You can apply for reconsideration within 30 days of the application rejection date, giving you time to clear your old CSP account. Reconsideration Line: (888) 270-2127
However, it is likely that you will not even be able to apply for the offer. (The Chase system won't begin to process the application because it finds your old CSP account to be active.). If so, you might try doing this: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=150356617&postcount=5536

It is what it is.
The Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal uses the Expedia platform. Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, and Orbitz all are similar because they are owned by the same parent company.
Due to the extremely tenuous nature of the 100K offer, it has been suggested that you apply now to lock in the bonus offer and rely on the 30-day grace period for filing a reconsideration (credit Tazmania99): https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=150105637&postcount=5231

Just want to provide one data point
I have owned CSR for almost 5yrs. I called Chase to do product change of my Chase Sapphire Reserve on Monday morning, and then went to the branch apply for Chase Sapphire Preferred on Friday of the same week - instantly approved.
One interesting in between, I got a promotion email from Chase about CSR on Wed. Also when I logged into my Chase app I was able to see both CSR and CSP are showing recommended from Chase app before I actually went to branch on Friday.
FYI I asked the lady at Chase bank about when the CSP 100k pts promotion in branch is going to end, she said it's unclear from Chase. It could be still here today but gone the next day.

I downgraded mine (which was opened 4 years ago) on 10/19 and applied a new one on 10/27 with instant approval
