I wish they would have bit sets that prioritizes T25-30 bits. People really need to move on from Phillips drive. Torx is better in pretty much every way possible.
I agree 100% but I'm afraid that we have a better chance of the US actually USING the metric measurement system.
They fixed them! These work great - you put them in straight up and down and push to 45 degree angle. They easily remove by doing the reverse. Much better than old design almost needing pliers to remove.

Maybe they fixed these cases but I have some old ones and it is a pain to remove these and put the bits back in
I have a set with the old style case (such a pain), and my dad got a set with the new style case and I've been super jealous! They go in and out super easy and I also like the clear front to see your bits. I'm probably in for one on this.
Does anyone know if other bits can be stored in this style case, or will only these bits (and Dewalt ones like them) fit?

Until they stop charging a premium for putting in square versus a cross/line, they'll stay in 3rd place.

It's ok, by now I have enough cross/flat/square/hex bits from these combo bit sets that I just start buying torx sets only. $10 for 15 T25 is pretty standard but torx do last 10x longer than Phillips because they don't slip. So it's not that bad, until I start loosing them.

I don't understand why today's drive bit built with nerrow neck ..It looks much easier to break than before
The narrow neck allows it to flex a little instead of shatter when using with an impact driver and, in my experience anyways, is typically not the point of failure.
If you're using these in a drill or screwdriver, then you don't necessarily need bits with a "torsion zone" (or whatever the manufacturer is calling it).

This is the torsion zone special designed for impact driver, impact rated bits last way much longer than your traditional non-impact rated bits without the "narrow neck"

2) how much better are those than 'magnetizing' bits before using..

That's the torsion zone.
Bits rarely break there. The heads will strip before the necks will snap.
