Thanks to Slickdeals Deal Editor Corwin for finding this deal.
What does "Low wattage, energy efficient" mean, in context with 1500w? Is it pulling 1500w from the outlet, or some lesser amount, and the heat being generated is similar to that of 1500w?
This heater is very powerful, but it significantly raised our electric bills this winter.
Will be a questionable slick deal at the end.
Like any other 1500W heater. It probably reduces your gas bill though if you have a furnace.
I ran 4 heater total 2250W in the house...reduced the furnace daily usage from 6/8 hrs to only 1 to 2 hrs... Saved gas and maintenance on the expensive furnace
I bought one of these from Walmart last year, and it exploded when I plugged it in. Power switch was in the off position. I tried to RMA it to Honeywell but the box wouldn't quite fit in a drop box, so I said screw it and threw it in the trash. Didn't want to return it to Walmart because I was afraid they would just repackage it and sell it to someone who might have the misfortune of having janky electrical wiring in their home. I realize this could happen with any company, but I'll never buy a heater from Honeywell again. Bought a Lasko and it works without issue.
Thanks Op. Have been looking for a small affordable ceramic heater. Last 2 yrs my Rheem CHA has reamed me for nearly $500 per month and that's with keeping the heat at only 50 F (and freezing my a** off) the entire winter. Water pipes are here in the basement so thinking I'll use these, keep the CHA off and just live in the basement during the winter until I can afford to come up with a better alternative.
(Electric bill dropped on $87 after turning CHA completely off. Last yr kept it off and installed a small window AC and that's Much cheaper than running CHA in the summer)

all these heaters are the same. the most they can do is 1500 watts which is what the electrical circuits in your house are limited to.
and small electrical heaters are the most inefficient way to heat a room. these little heaters are meant for a single person at a desk or sitting in a corner of the room

I had a friend who used a small square ceramic heater to heat up his full basement so that he could work on leather craft. He'd turn on one of them and run it for a couple of hours before heading downstairs. I was very impressed at how well that worked to heat such a large area.
I was all set to buy one but found the low setting still draws 900 watts. Unfortunately that's too high for my wife's office. A couple people use them and its overloads the circuit. Need a 500 or less low heat setting.
Too bad—good deal for a good looking unit.

I did this comparison before. I don't remember the numbers, but the electric heat was ridiculously more expensive than the natural gas saved by several orders of magnitude.

I made one with an old ceramic panel heater and it's cozy beyond belief. But you have to be used to sitting on the floor.
