This is the sort of tool you won't use all the time, but when you do need it, it's a lifesaver.

That is why I am getting it now. Probably will be in drawer for a year, but that time will come

One potential issue with buying now and use it in some distance future is that if it broke it would be harder to get it replaced by Amazon, which I think is easier than go through DeWalt

Don't be fooled by the inflated "$49.99 usual" price! This is normally $20.

I've had one of these for a couple years and it does work pretty well for those special circumstances that it's needed.

How does this compare (durability, ease of use) to the older style yellow impact ready version? I like the large size of the old one because it's easy to get a grip on. I can't imagine trying to apply pressure and keep this one aligned is an easy task, but I don't have to compare. Any thoughts? TIA

I've got this and have used it. While it is "impact rated" be warned that it does not transfer power very well. Fine for drilling or spinning things off but not great for breaking things free. I ended up getting a cordless ratchet recently which is almost as versatile as this and more powerful (albeit much more expensive). Wish I bought one years ago but happy I've got both
