How in the world is BK not crazy busy. It's half the price of the other fast food places.

For some reason, the BKs around here take 10+ minutes to make your order. The employees are genuinely unhappy about their job and don't try to hide it.

It's a great deal but because of the wait times, I can see why people are less likely to frequent a BK

I drive clear across town quite often just for BK, since feeding a family is more suitable at this location.

Chicken nuggets are highway robbery at any other location. At BK, you add it during the checkout for $1.50 for 10. The same thing would cost me over $4 or $5.

No thanks. I'll give my money to Chick Fil A, instead.
Good luck getting a cheeseburger from CFA.

They recently added the ability to use a Crown Card to pay via the app, but now for some reason it won't work and defaults back to Google Pay. Their app is terrible and slow, but the Whopper deals are too good to pass up.

Yeah, same problem here. The gift card through the app was working for a while but now sends you to Google Pay instead. Frown

Reading these comments, it seems EVERY Burger King has the same issues. Randomly closed, lazy unhappy employees, and just plain strange issues. My BK is the same, thought it was only mine.

I rarely eat fast food though. It's not very fast, nor cheap anymore. Nutrition is not there either, usually worse than comparable options.

I've seen news about McDonald's BTS meal promo nonsense, $9.60 near me? Never have had their chicken nuggets, but holy hell. $10 for 10 chicken nuggets, a med drink + fries?

This BK weekly Wed deal is actually great value, especially if you're alone/single. Otherwise? If I'm looking to eat unhealthy 'fast' food, might as well eat a frozen meal with uncountable selections. Do people not own freezers, microwaves or ovens?

So over the past week or two, BK has added surcharges for extra: lettuce, pickle, onion.

Previously, all had been free, with only extra tomato with a surcharge.
Only briefly off the bk app were those fees not added. I've always had to pay extra for lettuce and tomatoes. 10 cents. After an update the 10 cent charge was added.

Because 80% of the BK's ive been to have been in some ghetto area and are completely run down with employees that always seem high, and the food has been sitting out all day. Mcdonalds is consistently mediocre, Wendys is inconsistently ok, then you have places like In-n-out and CFA that provide fast, fresh food with great service and the quality is consistently good.

I used to like BK a decade ago, but they are run worse than taco bell and are on KFC levels these days. I have some nostalgia for some of their food, but I always regret going to BK, its never a good experience these days.

Also their new campaign is awful. They are trying to mock CFA by by donating to LGBT groups for every chicken sandwich they sell in June and doing twitter jokes, sure good for them, but nobody is buying their chicken sandwich because of how awful BK is. Instead of donating that money to try and mock CFA, maybe they should spend it on actually making good food and having better service.
"donating to LGBT groups for every chicken sandwich they sell in June" ~~ Good to know 💪😁

Pass, not cool that Burger King dresses up like Burger Queen on the weekends and invites the kids over to the playhouse.

I don't do much fast food but when I do it is usually McDonald's McDouble daily deal, since the locations are much more prevalent and it's hard to beat $1 for a sandwich and a large soda. Plus they let me do bunless via the app, which is not a dealbreaker of course.

But to your question/point, every BK I've been to has been consistently dingy. I'd say the dirtiest chain, rivaled only by JITB and Taco Bell. That said, I'll be hitting them up on the way home, thanks!

Oh, and the app is the worst fast food one I've used as well.
Must be area dependant. The BKs here are all newer or remodeled. The Taco Bells rival Chipotle (like funky design modernist stuff) and the McDonalds are broken down trash heaps and Wendy's feels like walking into 1995. The 100% worst app is Popeyes, then Moe's and Wendy's which for a big chain can't figure out payments to save it's life and constantly bounces offers out of my cart.

Not really.

I'm keto, so I typically just ditch the bun and get sides like salad. My usual @ BK is to use the free kids meal offer - get a diet coke, cheeseburger and applesauce (for my kids), also comes with toy (for kids). A double cheeseburger is $2.19 here in CT, but I've also gotten the 2 for $5 or whatever promo (not offer) which stacks with offers.

So you can get a double cheeseburger, a single cheeseburger(kids meal) and a small beverage for $2.19 (plus a sealed applesauce and toy) get the triple whopper for $3.

Yes the whopper comes with some roughage, but IMHO using the kids meal freebie is the better option. Or I guess you could pad out the double cheeseburger with some add ons, and still make it out ahead of the whopper.

It seems many people will go through the line multiple times or have multiple orders to take advantage of more than one offer, but I'd say that's YMMV. On the receipt that prints they know if you are using an offer, and IIRC it's intended once per day per person, so they could raise an issue.
If you're redeeming in restaurant or drive through they will usually let you use two coupons, just doesn't work for online ordering. I live in MA and frequent CT (up and down 91/95) and it has worked all over.

Ive been using the $1 large fries deal at McDonald's (expires 6.24) with the 10 piece. Costs just over $5 or $6 altogether. i don't drink soda, just sparkling water that costs me about .25 cents so yeah..
