How about buying stuff using paypal/ebay/amazon? That kind of sucks, unless you use this on one category, like buying gas on all time...

That's what I am using it for, gas only.

Not that great. 500 is not a lot

You spend more than $500 per month in gas? Restaurants? Groceries?
I think it's a good deal.
Done…

Why? Just apply the card and get $200 signup bonus. If you are denied, then call for reconsideration and transfer your credit line from your Citi Double Cash, and you'll still get the bonus.

I might just do this primarily for the bonus but also the 5% probably for groceries every month

I am also looking for a 2% card with a decent bonus- the only one I found is keeslers which is weak-- $100 on a $1500 spend

Product changes to this card might not be currently available, but they're coming at some point:

Since the wiki function is disabled on this thread (why?), I've created a new thread for the $300 on $1000 spend in-branch offer, including a list of cities with Citi branches:

Only pays out after you spend $4000 or 20,000 points. 20000/5=4000

Was gonna go for it but spending requirement too high. I'm trying to cut back on needless spending. The Capital One Savor one was much lower requirement.

Not interested in using up a slot for a Citi card. $200 bonus is not enough to entice me. I'd rather PC from a card I rarely use.

That is a concern for low spenders like myself.

Where did you see this? I was looking for that info. If true, it will save me from applying for this card.

That makes no sense. It's just TY points. You can cash out TY points whenever you want.
