"5% cash back on your top eligible spend category up to $500 spent each billing cycle."
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If I lets say use this card only for restaurants and nothing else, restaurants will be my top spend category every single billing cycle, meaning this card is effectively a no-fee 5% cashback card on restaurants every month of the year?
Applied, initially a delayed decision message, now approved for 9900 limit.

Shows up as a hard-pull on Experian.
Seems like a great card if you are diligent about using it just for the one category to maximize points. If you can transfer points to a premium citi card, you can get a great value that's even better than 5%
If my "top" category is 20% of my expense. I will get 5% but all other is only 1% so for rest 80% is only 1% cashback. But citi double cash card gives flat 2% for all. I do not see benefit, unless I keep buying one category stuff only with this card and all other with citi double cash.

The benefit is to only use it for up to $500 per month and only in the top category. And, does the double cash have the $200 bonus?
