I just went to the Citibank branch in New York City, they are downgrading the branch bonus from $300 to $250. But I still applied, the clerk girl was cute, but I have to wait a few days to see if the application went through.

Wish you hook up the cute Citi girl for losing $50...
Enjoy!
This is why Citi put a cute bait at the front desk while downgrading the offer and a fish got hooked.

I applied for this card about a week ago and got accepted, will this promotion apply to me or only for those that click the offer? I didn't know about this promotion when i applied.
where do you find the reference of $300 bonus with $1,000 spending? I saw $200 bonus after $750 spent. please provide a link because I may not use a gift card to work my purchase so I would get $300 bonus back
limited to only $500 spend per billing cycle which equates to $25 cash back per month...
nice, but limited to such a small amount.
While true, $25/month in rewards is not a low amount at all. General purchases @ 1.5% (which of course you already have a 1.5% card if you care about rewards) are going to make up the vast majority of your rewards. Once you get into the extra credit cards with bonus categories territory, you're often talking about an extra $200/year. Like my 6% grocery card, you might think that's super awesome, but it literally makes me $215 extra over if I just used my 1.5% Freedom card. And that's 6% and groceries, imagine if it was like 3% and gas, or 5% and only stuff you buy on Amazon. It really isn't going to amount to much, whether naturally or due to the limit.
That said, I would not replace my Freedom or Blue Cash Preferred card for this one. In fact, the Freedom card is so good that it's the reason why it took me 10 years to get a second credit card.
I am now 2 months into having this card and have yet to be able to use it. First they took almost a month to send the cards, and ever since then the account has been on a fraud hold Citi cannot figure out how to turn off. Have wasted literally 5 hours on the phone with these morons. Absolute garbage. Took a hard pull for nothing.
