I bought the 8" model about a year ago for the same price and I love it. It's so cheap that I "abuse" it in ways I wouldn't use my big gas saw, chopping up stumps and roots in the ground. It's been nothing short of fantastic and has needed nothing except bar oil.

Typically just adding bar chain oil. It's like $3 per quart which will last long time. May need to replace chain after lot of use, to keep sharp.

Just curious do you know what kind of upkeep these need? Oiling the chains,? Stuff like that?

You might like to know that my family has always used cooking oil, specifically vegetable oil, in replacement to bar and lube oil. Cheap, enviromentally friendly, and works well. I add food dye to some so you can see it in the tank, the yellow color is hard to see in bright light.
