A Quiet Place 2 is coming to Paramount + in July. May be be worth signing up for that.

If you cancel right away, you'll only get 1 month of service, since the promotion is not charging you for a 2-month sub all at once. If you want the second month for a buck, you can't cancel until you're charged your second monthly subscription fee, at the earliest.

The AMC+ trial is worth it just to watch Gangs of London. It's one of the best new shows I've watched in the last couple of years, but nobody knows about it because it's stuck on a weird streaming service.

In USA, for PBS programs, I would first take a look at your local PBS station and see if they have PBS Passport.

For a tax deductible donation of $5/mo you can get accesss to a large library of PBS programs.

Does any of these have sports channels broadcasting Euro 2020 right now?

Is ESPN included with paramount+
Paramount has CBS Sports. Looks like they have UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues.

It's only a buck, and there's plenty of good stuff to watch on there still. It includes much more than just AMC shows. Check it out!

No and no. Sorry. ESPN+ is bundled with Disney+ and Hulu+, if you like all those, otherwise you can watch Euro 2020 on FuboTV, Sling TV, Vidgo or Hulu w/ Live TV.

Regarding the PBS streaming, I encourage all to donate (recurring monthly?) to your local station.
At $15/mo, I am able to stream all PBS shows (for me at least) plus the tax write off.

Location is South Carolina.

AMC's 'Premium' streaming service does not have ANY episodes of it's own best shows: Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad.
True, but that's only because of the long exclusivity deal they signed with Netflix. They'll add them to AMC+ once it expires.

AMC+ (ad-free), Paramount+ (w/ limited ads) and Discovery+ (ad-free) cost $8.99 + $4.99 + $6.99 = $20.97/mo + tax, and they all include exclusive original content not watchable on cable. Hulu isn't something you used to have on cable, so I'm excluding it, but let's say you get EPIX again, that brings it to $26.96/mo + tax.

Now, I don't know how much time you have to watch TV, but I could never watch all the content that many services have to offer every month, so I would never subscribe to that many all at once (unless they were on sale for $1/mo like they are now, lol).

Since my original point was that this a la carte system is better because you don't need to pay for more content than you could possibly watch anymore, it doesn't really make sense to compare a la carte prices of everything you used to watch w/ cable, but even if you do, cable would definitely charge you more than $26.96 + tax with all their sales/sports/broadcasting/regulatory taxes and equipment rental fees, and you'd still have to watch way more ads.

I think you're looking back on cable with rose-tinted glasses a bit. Also, cable is still there, ready to gobble up your time and money if you really like it more than streaming.

Hulu also starts to stink for live TV -- they lock you to your provider. Guess what happens when you have 2 providers LMAO

I basically look at my cost of old phone, internet + tv with some premiums to compare against streaming services . . . as long as it's cheaper or better, I'm good.

-------

What *I* would like to see is a provider that lets you group households with some overlap and just be straightforward about the whole thing. How much better would it be if some of us had an admin account for your parents/grandparents that you could adjust from one place?

The only problem is it's all race-to-monopoly with very little consideration to the quality. Even discovery plus came with missing (current) shows and an app that you can't delete items that auto-played accidentally :/

I signed up for AMC+ a while back thinking "Cool, I can watch my AMC favorites: Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Halt and Catch Fire and The Killing." But no, no, no and no.

Too many subscription services to keep track of. As a general rule I only subscribe to one for movies, one for music and one for video games. Even then I feel is a waste of money
They're not meant to all be subscribed to at once. You're doing it right, just sub to what you like and use enough for it to be worth it.

At least Amazon Prime Video manages all your Channels subs in one place, if you get them.

I believe you can also sign up for a free 30 day trial directly thru Paramount + by using the code "MOVIES" before 6/31/21. I got this code in a 'Come back to Paramount' email and it sounds too generic to be targeted, YMMV.

Did you try? I didn't go all the way thru confirm but, the only payment methods I see available to pay for either subscription are the credit cards on file. No option for digital credits OR gift card balance

I am in Ohio and we are at a minimum $5/mo for passport. Looking at some of the other larger cities around me (Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit) they are also at the $5 dollar rate. Must vary by station.

But supporting the stations themselves is better than giving extra money to Jeff.
