I was able to snatch 2 - WD SN550 1TB NVME for $82 each (Amazon Warehouse) to pair with OWC TB3 enclosure (CNC edition). Drive had 3 power ons and under 80 gigs written on both. Not a big deal for me if it saves $25 over new ones. They are expected to write much faster than any sata SSD. Unless you RAID 0. For future proofing, I don't know why anyone would buy these.
Btw, this is still a good drive, Back in 2013, I remember Upgrading to a new Samsung EVO 750G for $350. Huge diff in speeds. In 2015 again Raided 2 SANDISK ultra 256 to Seq write and read at over 1G. Both laptops are still running fast.
Still waiting to replace my 1TB NVME ssd I bought three years ago for $69. Samsung, SK Hynix ND Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 4-8TB.

Please educate me
The QVO line uses QLC-type memory which is cheaper to make but also slower and less durable. The EVO line uses TLC-type memory which is much better and the preferred memory type in consumer drives.
