Depends on what you need. The 10" saw is a lot more expensive (currently ~$250) and the 8-14" saw can handle 95% of what most people will use a table saw for. If you definitely need the extra rip space, slight increase in cutting depth, or dado support, then the 10" is definitely the way to go. For most people, they'll be perfectly fine with this saw and the extra cash, though.
Good deal - but this saw will not take a dado blade if that's important to you.
Its sibling DWE7491RS (10 inch) will take a dado, but no sale right now.

Nice deal! Master class by home Depot of playing the SD community though, driving up demand by having this go in and out of stock multiple times to suggest low supply, when it actually appears they are sitting on a boatload of these. Oh well, capitalism!

Does anyone know, is there a space for on onboard storage for the non through cut riving knife that comes installed in the saw? I replaced it with the blade guard assembly, but didn't see anywhere for the original riving knife to be stored.
If it's setup like the 10" then there is a space for the both riving knives on the same slot. There's a knob below the table on the right, towards the back.

If you know exactly what you need and this saw suits it, then go for it. Otherwise buy a 10 inch one.

More and more companies will be shifting away from the 10" blades last I read. The 8.25" is the new portable table saw size due to safety.

I have this one and it's a great saw. I don't care about dados. But for the person about on-board storage, yes there is a place for the riving knife and the guard as well as the miter block.

Damnit, missed it. I don't know too much about these but I assumed this would've been good for cutting for my engineered wood floor install DIY project. Hopefully it comes back in stock.

Why is an 8.25" blade safer? It still seems plenty big enough to lose a finger, which is the main risk for table saws.

It's some new UL thing. It's not strictly about blade size, but a ratio of blade size to table surface area. A 10" saw would need to have a physically larger table area than previously. Easier to just make the blade a little smaller.

As someone else mentioned, it isn't just the blade size, it's the ratio of blade size to table size for portable saws. In order for a saw to be portable, you're somewhat limited on the size of the table, and a small table plus large blade makes for a more dangerous situation (less clearance on the table in front of and around the blade). Particularly regarding the space in front of the blade, on a 10" portable table saw, it can get really tight and borderline dangerous for crosscutting. Adding an extra inch or two can actually have a big impact.

Specifically, the new UL rules (under safety standard 62841-3-1 [ul.com]) went into effect on August 2019 and read "the table of a table saw has to be of certain ratios on the left, right, front, and back of the blade based on the blade size."

Basically, saws need to either have bigger tables (making them bigger, heavier, less portable, and more expensive; see more contractor-oriented saws like Dewalt's DWE7491, which almost requires a stand attached to it) or the blade gets smaller to maintain the portability and more modest cost.

Amazing deal. Now can we get one for a Miter Saw, please?

Which miter saw? If you want the metaboHPT 10 inch slider you can het a really good deal from bigskytool for sometimes around 250 recon. It is a nice saw but there are some annoying things about it.

Is it just me or are the bolts that are supposed to attach the table saw to the stand are too thick (or the holes too small)?

Yes, I had to remove the rubber legs but it still wasn't right. I contacted Dewalt and said it's the wrong stand and they would send me the correct one.
