That is a question loaded with variables. Anyways I will give my data points as a reference. For me here, 5G is a couple miles away on TMO and not that great. However, on my newer devices with the Standalone 5G Sim Card (VS say another same phone that i just popped in old SIM in instead). . .the phones with SA sims get 100-150mbps, where as the non SA sim phones gets 60-100 normally, all other things equal.

Another quirk is the 5G home internet Gateway I recently got. It seems to be non SA 5G, further evidenced by the primary signal always being set at 4G no matter how you twerk the online settings (other than shutting of 4G altogether, which shuts down communication in the end). And keep in mind I never get better than 'Good" signal on the app (There are higher VG and Excellent ratings). . .but when I am at "Good" it pulls from B2 4G or B66 4G. . .and Gives me 50-100Mbps hardwired. . .and when I twist the gateway slightly to where it gives me "Weak" signal. . .it seems to pull off the N71 5G tower and my speeds jump up to 100-200mbps hardwired. For reference, my 4G towers are just under a mile away due east, and the n71 5G tower is roughly 2 miles away and to the NE, so it's not that hard to try and exclude one or the other. . .

If you're planning on sticking with T-Mobile for the next 2 years, this is a great deal. They're giving $800 for Pixel 3s and S8s!

No, the phone can't have any cracks on the screen and must be functional.

I'm on SWAC and did this back in March/April (before mother's day promo)... Wonder if I can double dip here and get another S21 by trading in my current daily driver, which happens to qualify for the full 800 trade in 🧐

Has anyone else done this?

I don't see it either (all morning), yet there are, as of now, 9 pages of chat about the deal, multiple people asking where to find the deal (cuz it's not on their site) and still no one has posted a link (including the OP).

I'm about to thumbs-down this "deal".

FWIW, there is a deal on the TM site (under "deals) similar to this but requires a new line of service and the trade-in values aren't as high, so that's not this.

You do realize that is exactly what they used to do, gave you a free flagship phone, and all you had to do was sign up for 2 years, don't you? They literally were on street corners and all over malls handing out free phones to people, and all you had to do was sign a contract for 2 years.

That is until some entitled jackasses decided to sue the phone companies because they thought that with that free phone, they should be able to get it unlocked, go to another carrier and not stick around for 2 years.
So that's why they stopped the free phone with two year contract. I've been bitching about that for years! Everyone on here seemed to hate the two year contract, but I don't know why. You got a free flagship phone! It's not like you'll be changing carriers every year. And look at how much flagship phones cost these days!

They hated contracts because most of the complainers were looking to make a quick buck by getting free phones and selling them on ebay, etc. Like most good things, they come to an end when unscrupulous people take advantage of it.

The Wife and I both have NOTE 8. Is this considered a upgrade? Our phones are still practically new condition. Or should we hold out for the note 21. Thanks everyone
I have the Note 8, looks and works great, but I just noticed that I'm starting to have battery swelling issues. I'm looking to trade up to the Note 20 Ultra, because it is the last Samsung phone that still has an SD card slot. So if you use the SD card on your present Note 8 and don't want to give it up, you may want to opt for that.

The credit is paid as monthly bill credits for 24 months. If you switch away from a premium plan, you will lose the bill credit.

My account must don't qualify because I went to my online and app account; all that was offered for trade-ins is $500 off the S21 5g. One reason being we have a 15 year old grandfathered account (5 phone lines for $145 per month. I may call customer service to see if we can get a deal.

Agreed! Been saying this for years. Bring back two year contracts with free or deeply discounted phones! I don't switch around, I've been with Sprint for over 15 years.
I rather have EIP than contract. You can have multiple EIP per line but only one contract per line.

The phone wasn't free, they would just front the cost and charge you monthly for the cost of the phone over two years. If you buy a new phone every two years, it works out, but if you don't you ended up overpaying each month after the two year contract. They had a cheaper plan which you can get without a 'free" phone or a more expensive plan with the same service plan but with a free phone. This deal is better because once the phone is "paid off" you go back the normal service price without having to pay extra.

They were more generous with the mother's day deal which allowed everyone to do. My plan is just as old, 5 lines for 95 bucks including tax that was 1k minutes and text only.
