anyone knows if I can port in my existing mobile # from another provider to tracfone when I get this deal? If so, how or where can I find the instructions? Thanks.
Yes you can port in a number. Honestly I don't think theres any cell phone services that wouldn't allow you to port in. They often give incentives since they want business..

The instructions will be included with the phone. Its not that elaborate.

Can I put a different tracphone sim in this with a different number would it work?
you don't do that with tracfone, if you want to keep existing tracfone number and account you just call them up and trasfer to this phone, do not swap SIMs

No, Tracfone uses Verizon network for it's service with their bundled phones, phone will not work with anything other than TF until it's unlocked.
Not entirely true. A couple of years ago, I had an LG phone that was still locked to Tracfone. Long story short, my daughter had it transferred to her Straight Talk account. According to an article I read, TF, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, Net10, Walmart Family Wireless, Total Wireless, & Page Plus, are all owned by the same. She did have a few problems with it, but eventually got it straightened out.

True they're all TF companies but this phone comes with a bundled plan & has to be on TF (with included sim) to use it.

It says activation. Does that mean we need to get a post paid plan to get that $49 price?

Thanks, this is perfect for my Mom who rarely uses a cell phone but good to have regardless. Appreciate the post, OP. I would have never looked on HSN for a deal!

They've had decent Tracfone deals for years, I've got a drawer full of these cheap TF because I keep stacking the service. Always ck HSN as well as the Tracfone store on eBay.

Follow included instructions to activate or just call support & they will take care of it.

What's the trick to stack the plan on an existing account and use this phone?

No trick, just activate new phone & choose keep current number. Old phone will deactivate & plan will total on new phone. Simple.

Be very careful of these Motorola phones with Tracfone service as there may be no way to input anything except numbers.

My Motorola Power G Tracfone (ordered via a previous deal) seems to have arrived in a state where it can't use any sort of on-screen keyboard to send a text msg, add contacts or anything internet related. (or anything else for that matter) Only speech to text is available for typing, and that doesn't work very well at all.

I tested the phone by making a call when I first got it, then put it away for a few months. I only tried sending a text msg yesterday but could not input anything. Ordered a USB Type C to USB 3.1 adapter cable to try connecting a USB keyboard, but not sure I can get the normal on-screen keyboard functions working.

I've used many phones and never had an issue like this. I disabled some apps from using mobile data when I got it, but no working keyboad from the beginning is ridiculous, and this type of situation should be impossible! EEK!

EDIT: Fixed via reset; which was only possible by booting into it. Selecting the option when phone turned on normally resulted it in wanting my PIN, which was impossible to type.

My GPower has had no issues with keyboard (got it last Fall), have used it daily with both GBoard & Swiftkey. External bluetooth keyboard should work. When things screw up like that I always do a factory reset, less frustration. You either have a defective phone or an update messed it up.

Just got this phone on Prime Day for 35 bucks. It's actually pretty good. Huge screen, feels more premium then it is.
