Nope, i added google play and it's just like my tab s7 plus. A regular android tablet that works great.

thanks, that's what i needed to know . . . I guess nothing has changed in several years for amazon tablets.

Let's argue this....

Apple has disallowed apps and locks out certain websites. HOW does AMazon Lock down their tablet when you have access to XDA Amazon Tool Box.

Would do this plus the trade in but they won't credit my account till down the road.

Want immediate credit. Have never screwed them. Always sent in device in condition I described.

Am a v good customer who hardly ever returns anything or asks for credit

But I'm not good enough for them now.

OK, My point is there is TRUE VALUE with a Ipad, probably more value then a Fire HD tablet on sale.

I don't know if android will catch up. Apple makes their own CPU and hardware and there are some major advantages to this. But CPU speeds are getting faster and FINALLY the FIre HD10 2019 had a decent low budget CPU.

So I would have to say the best electric car today is made by NIO... not tesla. Tesla is definitely playing the apple game and not offering value.

I don't think apple is on the way down. I think some people like apple and some people like android. The simple fact that you can get a CHEAP android tablet... this could be the one reason why android has such a bigger market share.

Both daughters have galaxy tab A's that are showing their age. Think this would be a good replacement? Kids are 11&8 so it's basically stupid free games and movies.

Can I put a mem card full of movies in that they can watch on the tablet?

I think it will work for them, I have one similar age and he used the heck out of the 8 inch fire tablet. You can add external memory. If you can - install tool box to remove the bloatware.

I mostly use mine for consuming content bought on Amazon. Prime Video, Audible and a ton of paid apps that were free back in the long gone era of the Free App per Day for their app store. Kindle books with lots of graphics work better than on my Paperwhite.
