With BestBuy's Student Deal program, this 2020 model is $100 lower than the deals I've see lately. Might be a good alternative to people on the market for an iPad Air, since this is just $80 more than today's Prime Day sales from various vendors and you get twice the storage, 120hz ProMotion display, Face ID, Dual Cameras with Lidar (not that this really matters lol), etc.
Multiple models and configurations are available--including a couple of expensive 2021 M1 model configurations.

That being said this will push me to finally redeem the Apple TV+ trial that came with my device from April.
They held back stock for a week to reduce the discount by $50

Brickseek isn't foolproof for inventories, especially with Staples. But that link shows you the old SKU number, which you could have an employee check while in a store. The rewards points were from two months worth of used ink cartridge recycling as a "Plus" member. That's a "thing" that's no doubt discussed here, if you bother to look into it. Again, finding one is a big YMMV.

Oh yeah. You get double the storage. The promotion is great and you can't beat Face ID.
Also Apple (education) is offering the 2021 iPad Pro for $750 with free air pods.
