I'm eyeing the 55cx refurb for my office; $999 seems like a good deal. when you reserve one for store pickup do you get to pick from what they have? Obviously would like the one w/o blemishes and least # hour of use

You get what they give you, don't think you can pick. It's packaged really well in a plain box. My 55cx refurb had 120 hrs..

*That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ace, I know from experience dude. ...
No, you don't.
*Well, not me personally but a guy I know. ...
No, they didn't.
*No, no, no they didn't. ...But you could imagine what it'd be like if they did, right...?
The term "refurbished " no longer h as any established meaning. It can mean anything from a third party repairing a product that has been in use for 2 years on the one hand —to a product that was sold and returned without ever being used, on the other hand.
Everything depends on the seller's definition of "refurbished" and if they don't have a clear written definition then I would steer clear of refurbs because you don't know what you are getting. The other issue is who is doing the refurbishing. Is it the manufacturer or just some guy with a repair shop?
