I wouldn't buy it since i love cold water and rare use hot, but this sucker gets up to 190F in temperature which is near boiling so you can cook your ramen, and burn your coffee with it. It would use a ton of juice to cool your water though so if you like hot water this would be good.
I like cold water though so I'll stick with a standard water cooler.

How much do new filter refills cost?
Around town we have water dispenser stations it costs around $0.50 to fill a 5 gallon. We also have ice dispensers around.
If you buy an RO system for $200 and drink 1k gallons that's $206.. 1k gallons at $0.30 is $300
1k gallons is like a family of 5 drinking half a gallon a day for a year
But RO water might taste funny if you store it.. After an hour in a metal bottle it tastes like metal, after an hour in a cup it tastes like... Glass
My RO water has sat for at most a few weeks without issue though.
Culligan (or a similar service) will pick up your empty bottles & deliver new. Or you can pick up/drop off bottles at a Culligan "store." You can also refill the bottles at many grocery stores at their self-fill stations for approx 40 cents per gallon. Happy H2O!

They have agreements with local companies. In NY it's https://www.readyrefres
Going direct would be much more expensive (almost twice as much), but with Costco pricing I get 5 gallons of Poland Spring for $7.49. Purified water is slightly cheaper. Delivery is a one time fee of $6.95 regardless of # of bottles delivered: I normally get 12, which is enough for ~2 months. These racks have been very helpful to keep the garage tidy with so many bottles.
It's a pretty awesome deal, considering that I don't need to load/unload, and take the empty ones back.

well, if you are at home all the time waiting for the delivery, then it totally makes sense. but we go to work and they will have to leave the containers in front of our porch. still more load and unload.
I think they are referring to the company called Water & Ice, not actual water and ice.

Wow didn't think I'd run into a water cooler expert here, but thanks for keeping me from buying this!
