I bought this a couple months ago at the same price even though the reviews aren't great. It recently got a firmware update to allow mapping of multiple floors which is great for my 2-story. Lidar, strong suction, and mapping of multiple floors for $150, I'll be happy if it lasts a year.

Can it really not go backwards? My little tesvor has to back itself up like twice each run. Can it at least turn while staying still?

It cannot go backwards but it does turn until it gets out of stuck spots. Rarely gets stuck for me but doesn't have fall detector so it will fall down the stairs each time if not blocked or set as no-go zone.

Wow even better. Lidar and multi floor mapping for under $150. I'm hoping it lasts more than a couple months.

Shoot I would have done it for 128 (30 over the tesvor that's on the way) but an extra $50 seems expensive. Friggin wait-list.

Some of the reviews seem a little suspect. Many top reviewers, that tells me the product was likely sent for free or the company offered compensation for a 5 star review (sadly, quite common).

Not quite sure how accurate reviewmeta is, but it seems to think there are a lot of suspect reviews as well:
YTE:
https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B08V8N2NDN

Wyze:
https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B08NR5TBS3

Roborock S4 Max
https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B08CNCB44L

I just recently picked up the Wyze, it's pretty good. It can get a little confused around no go zones but eventually seems to figure out where to go. Battery life is not amazing but still can cover around 700-800sqft on a single charge on high suction. I opted in to the beta for multiple floors but for whatever reason I still haven't been able to get the latest version.

Wyze & Roborock both made inside by Xiaomi right? The app layout for YTE seems similar to Wyze and both got the app/firmware update support for multiple floors around the same time so I'm hoping the inside of the YTE is by Xiaomi too.

I've heard Xiaomi makes Roborock vacuums but I don't know how much truth there is to that, the Wyze seems more similar to the Xiaomi Mi than any of the Roborock models.

For starters the YTE charges from the bottom like some of the Roborocks but has the bin on the back which is more similar to the old Roombas.

Attached picture is from when I ran it upstairs today. The charger is downstairs so I physically carried it up and switched the map from downstairs to the upstairs, both of which were mapped previously. The No-go zones do need to be entered manually each time, don't know why it doesn't remember after I switch maps, but it rarely gets stuck so I entered 2, one on Room 3 to not fall off the stairs and Room 6 where it would get stuck under a cabinet that it can clear but the lidar part gets stuck underneath. Downstairs only needs 1 No-go zone, under a countertop next to toe kick, which I've heard is common. As long as this thing keeps chugging along, I'm happy with my purchase...

Strange about the no go zones. Doesn't look bad, as long as it works it's still much better than the old style bump into everything robot vacuums especially at the price, hope they support the app for a while.

Edit: The passes to seem to be much more coarse compared to the Wyze, not sure if it's just the way the app shows it though.

Did you get an extended warranty for this ? Amazon did not offer me one when I checked out.
