These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
I have Propel, and I got this card as well. Wondering why you want to switch from Propel? I think Propel is an amazing card. Combine with this card, they are very powerful imo.
Please note, Propel is not available anymore either, so once you lose it, you will never be able to get it again.
I just got this card and DEEPLY regret it. Wells Fargo has been nothing but a HUGE hassle with the sign-up, approval, communication, different departments, customer service, activation, balance transfer, and decline of use. NIGHTMARE. Do not get this card, for your own sake. Be aware, the balance transfer is 0% APR for 15 months, but there is a balance fee of 3%. What a pain.
name a card that gives existing customers 0% balance transfer with $0 fee?
What credit bureau Wells Fargo pulls the report from?
According to CapitalOne, Transunion did the pull and Equifax did not (they only request from these two). Chase does Experian and they did not indicate a pull.
Is this card suitable for college students with little income?
Are you asking about their approval requirements?
Any zero fee credit card is "suitable" for everyone technically. The 2% is a good all around card if most of your spending won't fall into the bonus categories of other cards.
The next factor is that most people are getting this card to get the $$ bonus. With Little income it doesn't sound like a good idea to load up a credit card with $1k.

Fair enough. I don't use my Propel much and wouldn't mind a 2% card but didn't know they discontinued the Propel.

Of course they still spend parents' money. I was asking if it's easy to get approved with good credit but little income.

Guess I'll keep it at this point.
This is how I normally use my cards:
Propel - Food related (Dine In, Take Out, Delivery), Travel (Gas, Hotel, Flight, Uber, Cruise), Spotify (all of these are 3% cash back)
Paypal Mastercard - everything else
I will replace Paypal Mastercard with this WF Visa, and transfer the points from Propel to Visa card so I could use it for flight booking which worth 1.5. Therefore, the 3% I got from Propel is technically really worth 4.5%.

Yea yea. They didn't comply and got hit with another fine recently. You know how many people's life they ruined? Foreclosed on their houses, repossessed their cars? Heck no, they need to be out of fr**king business.
These all happened just because WF opened a saving account without their consent?

Does that mean because I have a Propel card, I won't get the bonus? Been waiting for it. Spent $ 2000 so far. Would have gone for Citi instead. That's not right.
I have had this alliant card, but they recently killed the 2.5%. I believe I now only receive the 2.5% on the first 10k. After that is 1.5%
I just signed up the wells Fargo card. Citi just screwed me on a late fee. And I just closed it this morning.
