These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
Wells Fargo may well be the most dishonest, manipulative, criminal financial entity on the planet. Research their history of criminal activity and subsequent lawsuits they've lost.
I'd trust a drug addled vagrant with my wallet before I'd put even $0.01 into the hands of their hell hole of a company.
I had WF Propel before, however canceled a while back. Applied the Active Cash last night and got a review message. Then 5 seconds later got decline message. Called and was told I have too many 0 balance cards and too much credit - being respectively reason 1 and 2. So looks like WF is going the Cap1 route. However, I recently (Jan) applied the WF Autograph and was instantly approved. So maybe they are doing cost control on my accounts now?

You may not qualify for an additional Wells Fargo credit card if you have opened a Wells Fargo credit card in the last 6 months. We may also limit the total number of open Wells Fargo credit card accounts you have
I applied for this WF card a couple of weeks ago. After the hard pull, they sent me a mail (not an email) asking for my last 2 pay stubs and the only way to submit it is via regular mail or fax, that's so stupid !
Happened to me last summer. My score was 796, now even better. I hated WF already but I need a no-interest period from somebody, for car repairs and new furnace ... been looking but WF hard pull then mail denial ticked me off big time. I've always found what I needed so far, things have changed in the past 18 months.

Approved for $7.5K after card activation. TU/EX Vantage3.0 is 757 because I'm carrying a 0% APR balance on another card; was over 800 previously. Oh, I also have had a Propel for 3 years and opened a WF checking just minutes ago for that bonus.
But I have enough cash to pay the balance off sitting in a checking account earning 4.05% APY. And with this balance transfer offer of 3% for 15 months, I'll probably come out ahead provided the Fed keeps things tight.
Who here has applied and gotten bonus for the Autogrpah, b/c the rep told me its either this card or autogrpah not both bonuses, I'm sure they made up the rule on the spot.
I got the autograph and this card, got both bonuses.
I tried looking at the rewards page on my account but didn't really see any...Do they ever have any bonuses for gift cards when redeeming your rewards like Discover does? I'm trying to figure out if I should just cash in my rewards balance or if there is a better way that offers more value when redeeming.

Good info, thanks!
For the cell phone protection, I'm assuming we need to pay the monthly phone bill with this card?

Capital One is the worst of the worst. 3 hard pulls (one with each credit bureau) and they denied me in spite of having 840 credit score and no monthly debt.
Won't bother applying for another Capital One credit card, based on my experience.

EDIT: They pulled my EQ report.
