FYI.
Pixel 1 and Pixel 2/2xl do not work on Visible Wireless. It's a known issue.
Can get data, but no voice or MMS even with the correct APN settings.
I just picked up an unlocked 2xl from WOOT, and Visible Wireless is a no-go.

The model number is GA00138-US which is the US factory unlocked 128 GB black model, so it should be possible to unlock the bootloader. Only the Verizon variants of the Pixels have permalocked bootloaders.

Ah that's really unfortunate. I'd love a stand alone camera that was the exact profile as a phone! I know I'm one of a few out there, but if I could just have an android digital camera I'd be a really happy camper! I've been considering an older iPhone or maybe a pixel 3 for my needs. Any suggestions for sub $150 range? As a designated device, so I don't care about other features.

Was a great phone for most of the 3 years I have had it and no idea what the complaints are about the screen (OLED and 500+ ppi) or camera (one of the best when released a few years ago and still no slouch) but mine is starting to slow down on me and not work all so hot. I am looking forward to replacing it at this point; it works fine most of the time but the choppiness of it is noticeable.
