Pixel 1 and Pixel 2/2xl do not work on Visible Wireless. It's a known issue.
Can get data, but no voice or MMS even with the correct APN settings.
I just picked up an unlocked 2xl from WOOT, and Visible Wireless is a no-go.

Now you are going on a phone that's been sitting around for 4 years. How much battery life is left? I guess if you are desperately in need of a temp phone to hold you over for a year then this should do the trick.

I am not a heavy phone app user, so why not since it is on Android 11.
A few more years before the app store stops being compatible?
Likewise, the camera on this beats a lot of newer budget options (which cost similar and have similar processing specs but with the updates still available).
If you don't care about the updates, newer OS, or 5G, I think it's still an option (except for Visible Wireless where it does not connect to voice or MMS).

FWIW, I rocked a Pixel 2 for over 3 years until I upgraded just a couple months ago. It's a great phone and and great camera. The only negative I found was that the mic sucks for recording video. If you just want to shoot stills, or maybe quick videos of family & friends, it'll be fine. But if you want to record live music, interviews, or anything where you care about audio quality, you'll want to grab an external mic.
