Would considering this but I am almost out of 5/24 jail and want to add a couple more chase cards to the mix before getting locked up again with Chase.

I just got approved for the Citi Custom Cash last week. I doubt I will be approved again for another card in a short period of time from Citi. FICO 825, 3% utilization, 15 years of average age of credit.

I like this CC if no chase sapphire. My annual fee was waived as my retention offer.

Just got denied for this - 800+ credit. Already have 2 CCs with Citi for over 10 years. Very strange.

You are right, but you'll have 3 months to do the minimum spend.

just fyi I checked the redemption options for my thankyou points from a checkings account. they are redeemable for GCs (home depot, albertsons, safeway, hulu, and netflix looked interesting to me) and there was an option for bill pay to a credit card. i'm not sure what bill pay is but if you can use it to pay a credit card that's equivalent to cash for me.

Sapphire Reserve is a different class of card plus it has a $300 travel credit which brings the effective fee down to $250.

This card is more in line with the Sapphire Preferred, in which case I'd still choose the Preferred because the SUB is worth way more, the points are worth 1.25cpp vs 1cpp on the Citi, and you can pair the Chase Sapphire's with the Freedom to get even more value.

Citi Prestige also has $250 credit... which brings the AF down to $250

I don't even see the Prestige being available anymore, did they discontinue it or perhaps are refreshing it? Anyways, I'm moving away from ThankYou points and moving to Amex's ecosystem.

I have both chase sapphire and freedom, how can I pair them to get the more value ?
