I received intro bonus from Citi Custom Cash card like 3 months ago.

Can I still get Citi Premier Card for it's intro bonus or am I not eligible?

Citi has the WORST customer service ever and the buggiest website. It's not worth the money.

Chase Sapphire Preferred or Capital One Venture have better intro offers on better cards. This is only worth getting if you're a churner who already has those.

Edit: The Venture's into offer dropped to 60k since I posted the above, so what I said isn't completely true anymore. CSP is still vastly superior to this deal. I'd still consider Venture personally because the Venture points are less of a hassle to use than Citi points, but you can get more value from this than the Venture if you don't mind that hassle.

what would be the hassle?

If you want to transfer them to airline partners, it's just a big hassle finding good deals and availability. If you want to use gift cards, you still have to find a place that you would actually use it, remember to use it, etc. The nice thing about the Venture card is that all you have to do is travel in whatever way is most convenient for you and you can easily reimburse yourself. I've gotten lots of credit card intro offers over the years, and I've slowly moved away from the ones that limit how you can redeem them because of the hassle.

I also opened the Citi Custom Cash in June and got the intro bonus for it in July.

I have the same question. Let me know if you're able to find out the answer.

This is a really good card - 3% back on grocery, dinning, and travel (hotel, airfare, rental car) - this is the bulk of my spending outside of housing - the 80k bonus points posted on my 2nd statement

There's nothing in the terms to indicate that the sign up bonus from the Custom Cash card would affect your eligibility for the Premier. The cards that would affect eligibility are the Citi Premier/Thank You Premier, Rewards+, Thank You Preferred, and Prestige. You cannot have earned the bonus from any of those cards OR closed any of those cards within the last 24 months.

Thank you! I've seen those disclaimers before but wasn't sure if the Custom Cash was added to that list. Appreciate you clarifying!

Sorry if this has been asked before but I was wondering if paying for bills (electric, insurance, phone, internet, etc) is considered toward the $4000 required spend?

Just going to close it in a year, what's the difference? You'd need to spend $3200 at restaurants/travel a year just to break even on this (the hotel credit is worthless). Not really worth keeping
How much of a hit is it to a credit score after closing?

So let me get this right before signing up. There is an introductory promo rate of 0% interest on new purchases? I can cash out for $800 but still have to pay up the $95 fee? There is no way to waive that fee? The 4k in spending is applicable to doctor services?

There's no 0% intro promo rate on the Premier card I just opened. I haven't heard/read any mention of getting the $95 annual fee waived. I think you're correct that 80k points = $800. And I would expect paying for doctor services to count towards the $4k spend.

Yes, paying for bills should count towards the $4k spend. This is my first experience with the Premier card, but with other credit cards I've used bills to help me meet the required spend.

Got approved. Need to book flight so I can match 4k spending easily. Do we know if I cancel cards 3 months later, the points will expire or disappear?

There is no legitimate reason to cancel the card after 3 months. If you wait 1 year to cancel/downgrade, you are fine. Regardless, if you cancel the card, the points will disappear after a short amount of time b/c you don't have an associated TYP account anymore.
