Had excruciating back pain 19 years ago, diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. Required full lower spinal fusion. Pain on and off for the last 17 years after the surgery. Used this brace and various other accessories (lumbar support for sitting) with decent results. Pain got worse last year - not quite debilitating. Went to neurosurgeons and orthos, thinking I needed surgery again. Was sent to physical therapy to strengthen core and lower body muscles. Thought it was BS insurance excuse. Was totally wrong, pain is almost all gone, and all I have to do is the PT exercises for 10 min a day. Thanks. for. coming. to. my. ted. talk.
Want to really stop slouching?
Lose your belly.
Use a small pillow behind your lower back when seated in a chair with a back to it.
Study a diagram on desk/office ergonomics, and emulate it.
If you've got free weights, you can try bent-over flys, to strengthen your upper back muscles ..... check with your primary doc to ensure your healthy enough to handle that.
The things I have tried and continue to use that help significantly are:
-back stretcher (this is the one I am using - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PK7LYBC)
-tens unit (any brand will work as they all do the same thing, just make sure that it is compact and has an internal battery)
-massage ball (this is the one I have at home https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YN1TJWM)
-salonpas patches
edit: I almost forgot the waist belt I recently discovered, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RXKWXHT
My father has a slipped disc and this belt has worked wonders for his back pain

At this point I'm willing to try anything, i just ordered a virgin to sacrifice it to see if it helps

P.S. My hope for a back brace is to hopefully defend against further damage, rather than to relieve pain.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RXKWXHT, it is an inflatable decompression waist belt.

Thanks for the comment. I had a similar experience with an upper back pain a few years ago, however this time I haven't been able to make it go away with exercise, maybe I just haven't found the right ones (did it on my own, without going to a therapist, etc)
