Agreed, this thing is not 100+ dollar premium over the 5700x deco at Costco.

Close the X90 is a 4x4 and the AX5700 3x3 but outside that total bandwidth capacity being the difference everything else is identical.

AX5700 if I remember correctly is a costco exclusive but the X90 originally was best buy only now carried by multiple stores.

When my AX201 wifi adaptor laptop is in the same room are the Deco, I connect at 2402Mbps.

Not that it really matters since my internet connection is just 300/300 FiOS, but good to see.

Yeah its an amazing system, all other high end systems would be around 900ish Mbps which shows how much power this system has. Even if you only have 300/300 if you transfer files between computers or stream within the house, you are getting huge benefits . Most people don't realize that LAN having all the bandwidth is huge if you have a network attached storage device, or use devices that only communicate on the LAN.

Question, on the AX5700 I just set up one network. Is that fine? I assumed the Deco will do whatever it needs to with the wireless bands it needs to.

Yes it will automatically guide devices (depending on their hardware) upon joining to the proper bands and manage them accordingly so nothing else you have to do.

That's the part I don't get. They use the 6E as wireless backhaul - but isn't also the shortest range frequency band? I assume most people don't live in a house without walls.

I purchased the X60s from Costco recently but with my plan of 1.2gbs I may need to consider changing to something like this since I won't ever be able to see more than 1gbs unless I figure out a way to run more than 1 ethernet cable to the x60 and use link aggregation.

It's already a pain to set that feature up on the Arris SB8200 due to a firmware issue and xfinity support

X90 and the AX5700 have 2.5gbs intake ports which is the real feature here for those with gigabit plans that need that level of bandwidth
