Walmart.com price matched, and will match in store if you request the online price.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anker initially also paid for reviews. Probably just gave Amazon/SD more of a kickback to get rid of the completion like RAVpower, Aukey etc…

It's always this price with the 20% coupon that accompanies it.

For what it is - just two reviews! - a Meta-analysis of the posted comments on the charger's Amazon page looks pretty clean of paid reviewers and overtly fake reviews.

https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B08N68K4TP

The meta-analysis web site isn't useful with this product but can be helpful when there are lots of reviews.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started out with fake reviews and were just smart enough to know when their brand was popular enough to not need fake reviews anymore.

"Messes up" may be a bit of an exaggeration.

The faster you charge, the higher the current, the hotter the battery gets, and the shorter it lasts. If you don't keep a phone more than 2 years before trading it in for a new one, you have little to worry about. If you care about the battery lasting as long as absolutely possible, slowest charging is best, as well as avoiding letting it drop below 20% and not charging above 80%.
It's too bad Apple doesn't allow restricting charge to certain amount like 80%.

I have a usb fan blowing on my phone when fast-charging (both connected to same power strip), seems that will give the best of both worlds (fast charging at lower battery temp)

This "fast" charging only works for Apple phones?

"This charger is compatible with Note 10 / Note 10+, but does not support fast charging."
Works fine on my S21

They finally got rid of RavPower? No wonder Anker is charging $14 for a mini USB C charger.

Ravpower and Aukey. Too bad...fake reviews or not, they had the best deals, worked well, and put price pressure on Anker.

Ravpower used to have a two pack of similar chargers for almost half the price. This is a terrible deal and this is coming from someone who owns this Anker charger.

Both iPhone and Android devices have built in settings to prevent your battery from aging fast. On iPhone the settings are called "optimized battery charging and power saving mode " and on Android (Galaxy S20) there are multiple settings like "Adaptive Battery, Fast charging (you can easily disable it), Power saving and optimize battery usage". All those settings can help you save power and thus minimizing the amount of charge cycles to extend your battery's life.

Code does not work anymore.

Cheaper to get from the Costco deal that ends today: https://slickdeals.net/f/15159595-anker-powerport-nano-20w-usb-type-c-wall-charger-2-pack-23-99?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

2-pack of the Nano version for $23.99.

While this is mostly true, newest phones manage most of the problems presented here

They do, to the extent that the battery shouldn't exhibit significant degradation for at least 2-years. The optimizations aren't designed to preserve battery health beyond 2-years. For example, Apple Optimized charging doesn't prevent charging above 80%, it only reduces the amount of time the battery spends between 80-100%. Without the optimizations, quick charging and "abusive" battery charging habits (frequent draining and charging to 100%) could result in noticeable battery life degradation well before the 2-year mark.
