And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

This is the least painful way as a cord cutter to watch this show. It's one of the more obnoxious shows are far as being gated to people that don't have cable if you don't want to pirate (which I personally don't have time for these days) since it literally will take 6 months for it to show up on any subscription based streaming services (IE: Hulu)
That said this season has sucked. The episode last week might be the worst episode of this series ever, lol.

I think it's a brilliant show but you definitely don't need to be that smart to get the jokes. And you also don't need a background in theoretical physics 😂.
That being said, the show is pretty darn funny. Lots of the plots draw from sci-fi literature and take it to the extreme, so it helps if you have read some science fiction or like old-school Star Trek. Some elements are really whacky, and kind of random, but if you like science fiction and absurdism you will enjoy it.

Anyone know why?!? It is licensing difference?
I suspect it is partly licensing issues, and partly because Disney does not want to go through another costly rebranding as "TV and Movies Anywhere" .
They have a decidedly "not helpful" answer to the question of "why", though if you read into the "not available currently" part of the statement, it could be they are/were working to include TV shows.

"Can I access TV shows through Movies Anywhere?
TV shows are not available currently in Movies Anywhere. If you have any TV shows in any of your Digital Retailer libraries, they will not import into your Movies Anywhere library."
