  • TWO MATERIALS IN ONE SET: This set includes 5 pairs of metal spiral chopsticks (8.8") and 5 pairs of bamboo chopsticks (9.4"). No more struggling with the choosing between bamboo chopsticks and metal chopsticks. Don't hesitate! Have two types of chopsticks just in the budget of one set now with HIWARE !
  • STAINLESS STEEL CHOPSTICKS: The metal chopsticks are made of food grade stainless steel, but not heavy to use or carry. The spiral craft of the chopsticks provides easier hold and nice look while the grooves on the front end give anti-slippery grip which gives you a user-friendly feel. Moreover, they're perfectly sturdy and durable and well balanced that will work as great as you think.
  • NATURAL BAMBOO CHOPSTICKS: The reusable bamboo chopsticks are well polished and have a food-grade protective coating on them which can effectively prevent stains and discoloration. They're very friendly to novices for its rectangular shape where can grip much easier. Besides, there's Chinese poem written on the chopstick that gives them an aesthetic look.
  • DISHWASHER SAFE AND REUSABLE: The chopsticks are totally dishwasher safe and reusable which means you have done your part to protect the ocean and nature.

As an Asian the term "reusable chopsticks" confused the heck out of me.
Some might prefer the 12 pair stainless for $6.99.

Ummm, if it's good quality stainless, then they shouldn't be attracted to a magnet!

Can these be washed in a dishwasher? Will they deform?

How are these different from the free ones at the sushi restaurant?

Is the metal one better?

I really want a nice set but not spend too much as we have kids in the house.

I want to expose them to chopsticks as well.

I never use plastic or metal chopsticks. Is it harder to grip the food? I've always saved my wooden chopsticks from takeout and I'll grab an extra pair. I'll reuse them a few times and then dump them.
Indeed harder. Natural bamboo or wooden ones have much bigger friction for you to grab food, particularly for chopstick beginners.

I prefer wooden ones, if I know it's real/natural wood (not compressed/synthesized/manipulated). Otherwise, bamboo ones are easy to tell if they are 100% natural bamboo

I bought this long ago and threw the wood ones away after a few months. They warped in the dish washer even though I don't use drying

personally I prefer fiberglass. dishwasher safe and doesn't conduct heat as much. It also gives you the feeling of dining at a pho restaurant. I don't think I can post a link, but I see a 10 pack for under $4 on amazon.

real chinese dont use stainless steel chopsticks. they use bamboo ones. stainless steel are for display. they cant even use them properly.
Koreans use stainless, remember there are other countries šŸ˜† though Korean ones tend to be flatter like silverware. Often with rings (indents) to help grip food. But they also use round, bamboo, etc. (Round probably because Chinese manufactured).

I personally have moved away from reusing bamboo and wood chopsticks due to the very porous nature of the material. I use metal and fiberglass now.

Other countries, such as Korea, prefer metal chopsticks. I just thought I would point out that the metal only ones were on sale too. I didn't mean to offend.
