The MF644Cdw goes for $250-270 every Black Friday. If you can wait, you're much better off getting that. I've had one for a few years and I couldn't be happier with a printer.

I got the below ones in January for $37.49 before tax. There was a $5 coupon and $7.50 Lightning Deal at the time.

I had no issues with the generics. I bought them at the same time as the printer, and installed the generics first in case there were any issues. I would have been able to return the generic toner and/or printer, but everything was good with the ones i got:

This usually refers to an ability to "fax" over the internet through one the services provided online. This usually means that the device itself does NOT include a phoneline port to which you can connect to your existing telephone jack in your home.

You would need a phone line to use this as a fax machine.

That's what I'm looking for. The poster above seems think it's just fax over the internet and you might even have to pay for the service? I've had a slick deal alert for a multifunctional printer with fax for like 3 years without luck.

Oh. I would hate to have to pay for a service when my landline hasn't been used once in 5 years anyways. It's hard to find a multifunctional printer with a fax for some reason.

Did you check the Obi202 that has the Fax capability and you can use the Google Voice number? This should replace your landline and save some decent money and still provide similar functionality. There are a lot of deals for Obi202 on SD from time to time.

I thought about it but my cable company essentially forces me to have a landline so I feel like I should make use of it.
