T-Mobile Customers: 50% off new lines for eligible rate plans

Starting July 23rd customers on eligible postpaid T-Mobile rate plans can add up to 6 new lines and get them 50% off.

UPDATE 7/21: New info has been received that heavily modifies eligibility. We now have a list of eligible SOC codes and 9+ line plans appear to now be eligible. Unfortunately it seems ONE All-In plans are ineligible. Sorry for those that got their hopes up. Please see the source link for updated eligibility.

Only lines 3-8 on your plan are eligible. Simple Choice, Select Choice, Amplified, 55+, Military, etc are ineligible.

Stackable with phone promos, including phone promos that require adding a line. For example, you can get a free OnePlus Nord N200 5G on a 50% off line.

9+ line plans are ineligible.

You need to add those lines. So, a plan change will not be eligible for this promotion.

Just try to add a new line via chat from Tmobile app and the rep screwed it up bad. He/she added the new line and charges another $35 to my account. Watch out if you have to add a new one. I have 5 lines with Tmobile.

Did anyone add a new line today with this promotion who is on Magenta's plan? For my friend, it is showing a $20/line online. I thought after the discount it will be $10 (autopay discount included). Am I missing something? What is the regular cost of add a line for magenta plan users? Is it $40 or $20? Any thoughts?

Edit: By following the tmo report posted by OP, they are talking about some kind of eligible SOC code. I am not a T-mo customer but my friend is and he has no idea about this. This is for adding a line to myself and helping me. Can anyone please chime if the $20/line is after a 50% discount if he is on Magenta's plan?

No, it's not the customer service fee since I didn't go to the store or call in. I had to escalate to higher support and they fixed it. Mine is $15 now since I have One plus one plan.

my gut tells me this will be the new base "free line" promo going forward. no more 100% free. maybe one LAST time during the holidays. but thats pretty much it. 50% discount on new lines without BOGO requirement is already very good. so its funny to see no traction in this thread vs 100% free lines.

i wonder whats the latest COSTCO BYOD and TMo BYOD promo. havent checked yet.

And they are going full tilt with the 50% off promo. . .plastering it all over their website, even sending out emails to add a line a 50% off. It's like they are taking a much greater risk (advertising to all and everywhere for 50% off vs. word of mouth and reddit only for FLOU). They will pad their subscribers much more with this 50% told to all, but then again now every average joe customer knows about the 50% off deal and can partake at a much discounted price vs what the sheep would normally just add at full price. It's almost like they are getting more desperate for padding #'s. . .but we think the opposite because we expect FLOU to bite lol

Yes it will. Today, however, is the last day of the current Costco BYOD promotion. It's been extended for a number of weeks, but this being real life, there are no guarantees that it will be available tomorrow.

I added 2 lines at Costco today. I'm only seeing one entry 2021 line P4. anyone else getting 2 or more P4 under my promotion? I hv total of 12 lines now.

edit: today is the last day for $300 byod. go get it now if you want to add new line.
