We have an acquaintance that works at Samsung in Plano, TX who a few months ago said that they'll use the chip shortage as the reason not to come out with a new Note but that they already have no intention of doing anymore work on future Note phones. The chip shortage is just a convenient excuse to consolidate the phone lines.

Kind of sad to be honest, I LOVE the Note series. I've had a 4, 8 and now 10+. I guess it's going to be a while till I upgrade again. In all honesty I use the stylus very little, I mainly like the square-ish shape larger screen/battery and the spec bump they usually received.

We had some demo units of Samsung flip phones in the office. I honestly could not get attached to them- they just seemed like more work to use, bulky, and I'm not sure about the durability of the device in general. Maybe they've dramatically improved with the new version...definitely something you should try in a store before committing to.

They really hit their stride from s7 edge, s8. S9 was entirely forgettable. S10 series was great.

I've been a Samsung phone user for a long as I can remember but they WILL lose me as a customer if they don't bring back the Note series in the future. They already lost me as a TV customer last year to LG.

What made you prefer the LG over the Sammy when it came to the TV aspect.

The cameras will be meh again, just you wait. I'm mostly worried about battery life, 888 is bad.

When they replace a screen they actually replace everything in the phone except your motherboard and parts, at least that is the way they described it. So if they do this across all Samsung phones, it should be very straight forward. However, yes, it may take longer but I still don't see it taking 3 weeks. I was not second guessing her either. I was just stating a fact that they contract repairs out now. You don't usually have to send them back to Samsung unless it is something an engineering team wants to look at. The usually happens when it something they haven't seen happen before or if they want to see a problem and how they can fix it in future devices.
